Fujimon's an M I guess. And Midori's a big S.
He better have some deeeeeeeep past
for me to forgive that level of sadist.
Although, I don't think he's the anti-hero type.

"I felt uncomfortable watching Masamune practically get gun-raped by Midori. But hey, dramatic effect, right?"
Now onto my thoughts: Midori is a zero dimensional badly written character and the worst possible type of "villain" a story could have.
With little forshadowing and little preparation he is brought into this universe by an author who apparently gets his kicks of his characters being bullied by this abomination in need of psychological councelling, or better an entire character rewrite. He has little backstory, no personality beyond "do-S" and "yandere". When people ask him if he feels happy about being the monster he is, he gives a tvtropes inspired reply and acts like the most stereotypical sadistical badass.
And then he goes all "this game is wonderful" while showing ahegao face.
buh! sooo coool
The readers who happen to enjoy that kind of character and how he treats other people make me sick. I having against you personally, but you have bad taste. You are as guilty for liking this and asking for more as the author who writes that kind of character.
Both "sports" and "shounen" anime/manga have their ways to introduce charismatic rivals. These don't to be one note shells rapists/torturers. Under normal circumstances such a character should be multi layered and given more time so as to show he's in the wrong/how he got there/how people see him and act around him. Heck, these shouldn't be in a "sports" anime in the first place!
At best he needs help. In any case people should sue him for injuries and harassment. I have an urge to sue the author for insulting my intelligence with a character less likeable than an Ork from Lord of the Rings.
You don't hate him like you'd hate a strong-willed major charcater for disagreeing with his views, like with Lelouch Lamperouge, you hate him because he is annoying and frustrating.
The manga and anime industry is already slowly going going downhill, at best stagnating. We have enough moe, cute girls doing cute things, light hearted shonen and edgy stuff for teens like Tokyo Ghoul and Akame ga Kill. Aoharu steps in, presents itself as a shonen/adventures, and then throws in the worst type of antagonist it could throw, just so that eventually team White Knights could righteously kick his ass.
Lastly, the author of Aoharu seems to treat quite lightly Midori, especially with the sudden mood swings. And his teammates seem to tolerate him either because he deceives them or because they turn a blind eye to his action.
That manga author never got bullied in his life, never experienced real pain, never realised how traumatizing in a bad way and because of bad writing his creation could be.
"Dead people should shut up and just lay down" - Midori said
Right back at you, you poor excuse of a character.
Kill a Midori by writing no more of his stereotypical one-note no backstory sadist kind of characters, heal the whole manga/anime industry.
