Reading VNs with electronic dictionaries is probably the best and most effectice way to improve reading and listening comprehension. So just keep reading and reading. But I wouldn't recommend WA2 as your first or second read. It's definitely more intermediate-level. I'd say go with the easy ones first until you're quite comfortable with the language. By the time you finish ten VNs or so, you should be able to read most things at near-native speed. Good luck! :)

WA2 translation is pretty good, it seems. But even with a decent translation, all the nuance is gone and it reads awkwardly and lifelessly compared to the original. Some VNs are made special by things inherent to the Japanese language.
