| So I've just finished watching Mirai Nikki + the OVA. Now a few things spring to mind.... How has 10000 years past when Yuno actually finds Yukkii? I'm pretty sure they say only a month or two has passed on the school trip from the "terrorist explosions" at their school. Secondly, if 10000 years really has passed A) Yukkii should of gone through puberty by now as only his hair has grown, no facial hair, finger nail growth etc. Or B) if his "God" and doesn't age then his hair shouldn't really grow either. Another thing thats bothered me is Yukkii himself. After "10000" years I'm pretty sure you'd come up with a solution even suicide would be possible as its clear Gods can die in this world. In addition, why doesn't Yukkii just create an exact copy of the second world with all the people inside? Murmur specially said "Just create a woman" meaning he can create people. This isn't bringing people back to life but creating exact copies. He could of just made a copy of the world and lived inside happily ever after without them knowing his God just as Yuno did. Meh just some things that bothered me....feel free to argue points etc just sharing my opinion :P |

| The first observations are just details the anime didn't think important to explain, and I sort of agree. While it could go out of its way to give such explanations, that doesn't seem the point of redial. Murmur was suggesting that he create a new person to love. This isn't the same as making copies. Although it doesn't go into detail, all we know is that once someone is dead, they are dead for good. The only work around is through different iterations of the world which aren't in access under normal circumstances. Redial pretty much offers the best happy ending for Yuno possible. In which, her memories, what make her, well, her, going into a pretty much exact copy of her former body. Think of it like this. What makes your hard drive unique? The sequence of data registered onto it. If you take that exact sequence and put it onto a new hard drive, it has the same data, it is virtually the same, just not physically. Take that concept and apply it to people with memories, with the added bonus of the two basically being the same physically. For all intents and purposes, the 2nd world's Yuno has been recovered, much like how a hard drive would be if you were to upload a copy of the data onto another. Even in the main series though, this was inferred by the after-credit scene, but redial wanted to flesh it out more due to its importance. In addition to this, it gave a glimpse of how the other characters were doing as well. That is what redial set out to do...not explain why god Yuki looks as god Yuki does. I mean, you should be able to imagine the type of explanations which would be given, but it really isn't important to the story and honestly would of been weird for them to go out of their way to give such trivia in the actual OVA. That's the kind of stuff that would be on like...a note or such as an extra included with the disk set. |
