The coach's sister-in-law has a pretty generous outlook on him. She hasn't been watching what I have.

This being the sort of show that it is, Reiko will probably end up being right. I can somehow reconcile most things he did with that view, but the first game with Sasaki forced to bat was a little too much.

Demon coach is surprisingly similiar to Tacchan's situation when he was younger and a baseball player o.o It's really hard to believe that he was a ''nice guy'' when he was younger though, I just don't buy it lol.

Even if he is a nice guy, doesn't excuse all the crap he's done.

I can't stand Nishimura, he continues to mistreat his poor manager, who really cares about him, because she is ugly, as if he were handsome! Telling her to stop "following him around" when she only did it because she was worried about his problem, when he does the same thing with Minami, stalking her. The difference here is that the manager truly cares about him, but him only "likes" Minami; it's insufferable.

Poor Mrs. Kashiwaba though, the Eijirou she knew doesn't exist anymore, it doesn't matter if she doesn't believe it, the fact is that he was/is physically abusing, and torturing the players for no good reason, it's just because he feels like it, jeopardizing even their chances of going to Koushien in the process.

The parallels between Tatsuya and the coach were already apparent, but this episode added another layer. That aside, I honestly want to believe in the words of his sister in law.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

A lot of parallels between the coach situation and Tatsuya, the big difference being Tatsuya turning out to be a better person and the coach a criminal. Pretty creepy to keeping his brother's wife picture, man if only the wife would know what kinda crap he does to those poor kids.

So Kashiwaba used to be a kind, shy, harmless person who would never do anything like revenge...

As if that excuses beating youngsters and sabotaging their dreams in the present.

He'll redeem himself though and all will be forgiven because this is Japan, where no matter how abusive and corrupt they are, authority figures are always good deep down otherwise why would they be in power? You are nothing without them and you should be ashamed for even questioning them!

So the demon coach says baseball is just kids games' but he's the one who gets kicks from tormenting his baseball players. Clear to see who's more childish here.

Kashiwaba Reiko (if that's her correct name) doesn't realize that people can change over time. Maybe the demon was once a human, but she doesn't know his current position, and she obviously didn't keep contact with him probably since she married the older sibling. She denies whatever she heard from Minami even though she's a former manager of the baseball club.
Point is that maybe Eijirou didn't regret his action of protecting his aniki at first but it sure took a turn for the worse when he first joined the Meisei baseball team. From there his frustrations built up until it corrupted him and now he's putting out his pent-up frustration on the current baseball team who are innocent. I've said these before. Emotions can be a valuable asset but this guy let them get to his head and completely destroy him. And now it seems he's almost blind, and it only feels like a by-product.

-- " He was a like a brother to me" ... Damn i feel bad for the demon coach and Katsuya. a big fat L. those guys need to stop simping and let other girls take care of them when other girls gives them unlimited love.

If we make a recap of all the thing we know : demon's coach ( isn't really a demon ) . I think in his deeper mind, he knows that if the team can't handle 1st-2nd round with an handicap they don't have the level to go to Kashien.

With Manami, he did a favour of letting her go to focus on her own carriere and not being on the shadow of her love one ( Tatsuya ) .

Demon's coach : lived up to the brother's shadow and even sacrified himself to the brother's fault of driving a bike and have an accident.
His older brother let the little brother took the responsability, has married her little brother's dream girl and insult the coach as a jerk/garbage.

For me it's ( even with the tidy information we have ) the older brother the one who caused that trauma and even more with that attitude of not having empathy for him after what he did for him..

--- Lot of people call him a crazy bastard. they're not totally wrong since he used Sasaki and treated him like a very piece of shiit, even though he's the one standing everytime. And the behaviour of punching Tatsuya in the first place.
Those 2 behaviours were only the one's that i can't defend for his cases. The other things he did are "understandable".

100% true.
If the manager were beautiful as Manami, he would have simp so hard.
