| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- That was tense, at least in terms of the buildup. Pacing felt a bit slow though for this episode with the pacing. I kinda felt bad for Reira though as he feels the pressure. And it's no surprise that Yuya would react with a bit of rage after seeing him struggle. Glad to see Reira understand a bit about friendship. Seriously though, there's some dark stuff going behind in the background. |

| I guess anyone wouldn't expect Reira's past to be so dark. I suppose also that Yuya wasn't going to duel Shinji. That's a shame. Most people were expecting that too. Hopefully the ninja will put up a fight. I don't know who will win though. We'll see! |

| Am I the only one who's starting to dislike Reiji more and more? Also, I know next episode is Shinji's first duel, but I'm honestly hoping he loses, because so far all the Lancers have been doing IS losing. Sawatari, Yuya, and now Gongenzaka... it honestly isn't that fun to watch. |
| I'm also hoping Tsukikage wins, I need that guy to get some decent focus too. Anyway this episode was awesome, I love how they drew some of the facial expressions on Yuya and Reira, it was really nice. Now if we could just get some more episodes that focus on characters that actually need focus like Reira.. Sawatari, Serena and Tsukikage would be a nice start. |

We've only ever seen her use five cards in every single one of her duels, it's getting a bit old. I'm interested in Tsukikage as well because I expected him to be fodder, and his brother Hikage was. | Wow, intense episode. Friendship cup is a disguise to put more Commons into forced labour, insane ._. And glad to see Reira has some development here. Now the question is, is Reiji Akaba kinda evil, or would he be againsting his mother's idea of turning Reira as their puppet in duels? Hope they will explain that soon. |

That's probably why it was switched out for the unknown crap known as Underworld Troupe. It was done only to show that not only was Yuya over Pendulums being widely available, but he could also have fun/enjoy himself even when he's cornered by his pet mechanic. Of course, the way he is right now, the whole "having fun" thing is kinda moot... |
| Damn the tension in this episode. Was kinda expecting Reira to be a robot or something due to his personality. | I thought this episode was meh at first, but then it suprisingly became very good during the second half. Looking forward to the next duels. Shinji vs. Ninja is hard to predict, but the others are very obvious. Yuzu vs. Tokumatsu - Yuzu will win because of plot armor, also hopefully she uses a Melodious Synchro. Serena vs. Tony - Tony is so fodder, that I think it will not even be a full Duel, also it looks like that epiosde will focus more on Jack's backstory. Yuya vs. Duel Chaser - Obviously Yuya. Yugo vs. Sawatari - Now this is the Duel I'm looking most forward to. From the title's name, it seems that Sawatari will manage to kill Clear Wing, being the first person to do so. He will still lose though, since Yugo has plot armor, but I get the feeling that it will be a awesome Duel. |

| Nice to finally get some more info on Reira, and Reiji even. I can finally see Reiji in a slightly better light. Reira definitely needed more "humanity" to his character, I'm glad he's not against it at all. Now for a ninja in a riding duel! Best entertainment? |

| I love that confrontation and the room went awkward after. Yuya protecting the boy and thinking Reiji did something bad to him or something. but in actuality, he was found in some war? and brought to his family but he has no will of his own so the mom of Reiji wants to use him for something. Thats messed up in alot of ways. Reiji does feel bad for him but he's really hard to read at his face because he's always "calm" and collective but he does care for the boy in his own way. Great to hear he won't force him to duel, i can't imagine a little kid riding a motorcycle. i don't think they have a kid version motorcycle, thats dangerous. that bribe from the old guy was funny. that card was indeed rare. so what we got in this episode was that the Noboru is going to the camps where he will be forced to work undergrounds picking up trash till he dies. |
