I can't choose. I'm torn between RinHau and RinRei.

RinHaru is obvious to me. The competitive tension, the angst to resolve the current problem from how close they were in the past. How they interact, how it resolved.

But RinRei is a new thing for me and I probably like it just as much, if not more. I like how it slowly happened. Like how Rei heard Rin's name from being their old teammate with bad history. And Rin knows Rei as the "bad swimming who replaced him". And Rei had all this annoyance at Rin (for what he confronted him about at the end) And their argument and how Rei tried to fix between Rin and the team. And how he stalked Rin and saw him being sad in front of their old school and how Rin told him about the past and Rei giving up his position for him in the relay would lead to them getting better opinions of each other and being friends but they both swim butterfly so it would have potential to be competitive too and they are snarky dorks. :D

Okay, I think I went too far with that.

Also I love NagiGou. They are sooo cute<33

For secondary, I like MakoRei, MakoNagi, ReiGisa. I like MakoHaru in theory too but I can't see them as romantically personally.

There is no pairing that I don't like. But I like MakoHaru the most because everything about it is so cute.

I also like RinHaru, MakoRin, SeiGou, MakoGou, and NagiRei.

Oh, how could I forget HaruWater. That's canon xD

I was kind of thinking that too, about Gou's friend. It would be nice if she was involved more, and not even necessarily romantically in the plot...but with Makoto, that would be cute. And in one of the sound dramas, she tells Gou that she's jealous that she has such an attractive older brother so maybe even with Rin too. x3

As it is now, I kind of just like bromance between all the characters but if I had to ship anyone I'd go with Makoharu~

Makoharu definitely. There's no other pair that can beat them to me. It's my main OTP at this moment (from all series). But I also love Reigisa (who doesn't?), Reirin and Makorin. I also like Rintori and Seigou.

That's pretty mainstream, but my fav pair are Rin and Haru. I believe the have the strongest connection and also Rin is hot as f) It was fun to change the attitude as he appeared a total villain at the beginning.

One of the people who (tho a bit forcibly... you know putting multiple shipping goggles on) helped introduce MakoGou back in the fandom's first date, I chose MakoGou.

I don't see SouGou here (why would there be, this topic is in S1 duh) Well, ever since the OVA, I've been shipping SouGou a tad bit more than MakoGou. So yup, I love both of these pairs.

Like the guy more as bros than romantic partners. To be honest, I find the so-called-'bl' in it as a bit too much "taken for granted," type and also a bit overhyped (still perfectly understandable) That's just my opinion of-course. Favorite broships are SouRin, RinHaru, MakoRin, RinRei, RinNagi... wait that's everyone/Rin loool.

I ship Gou x Captain and Rei x Nagisa too ofc :D
I like MakoHaru a lot too though, I guess in this case I feel they have a beautiful bond as best friends for life.
I mean, Haru obviously has a special place in his heart for Makoto; they've been best friends since well, forever...
But just, the angst between Rin and Haru and how Haru was so affected by Rin, even during all those years when Rin left, and after, when Rin came back. And Jesus people, how can you not see how Rin can get a rise of REAL EMOTION so easily out of Haru. XD. Serious, Haru's always quiet AF, even near Makoto most of the time, and once he happens to start talking to Rin... BAM. Words and emotions FLOWWW.

Oh wells, the anime probably won't have any yaoi in it, pretty obviously really. I content myself with my daydreams and fan fictions and the fact RinHaru is the more popular couple (even judging by google search engine results. YUP). Heh <3

MakoHaru. Like asdfghjjlkjhgfsasgjlljkl they are practically married and it's so hard to have Free! franchise without these two. Their bond basically is the core of the series.

Rando question. Sadly I'm Rintori trash and I was looking up the drama CD's. Is there one even close where Rin is actually nice and sweet to Ai? All I can find is Rin being his douchebag self and lots of SouRin during the second season CD drama. 😩 Getting the feeling this might be a sinking ship.
