But to also take the fall for this brother. That's reputable. |
| The douchbag couch actually has a heart of gold eh? It was a pretty predictable spin with his character but it still doesn't make up for what he said about Kazuya in that other episode. |
| He was right with what he said about Kazuya, really. If not for him dying, Tatsuya would have never gotten out of his shadow, and Kazuya making Minami's dream come true would have increased her affection for him. He'll never see it that way, but the death of Kazuya was the best thing that could have happened for him. Three is a crowd, etc etc. On-topic: the angrier Minami gets, the cuter she becomes. If there had been more of jealous Minami in the post-27 filler zone, I'd have gone with 8/10; purely out of 2D love for her. |
| The one who is always soft on the boys is you, konoyarou! Minami doesn't have any right to complain about Yuka since she gives encouragement to all the boys who like her. For a while it has been forgotten but for once she declared her love for Tatsuya. But then again she didn't give a proper rejection to Kazuya. Neither Nishimura, nor Nitta Akio. She is so inconsiderate of others' feelings and by not rejecting them properly she takes advantage of them whenever she wants. Indeed she is a complete slut and I'm seriously thinking of dropping this anime, because things are getting so frustrating. :/ |

| So they finally found out the truth about the demon coach, but he was still portrayed as "pitiable", and "necessary"; and I'm disappointed, but not surprised. So he took the blame for an accident, which was caused by his brother, the talented player. And he was ostracized, and expelled because of it, and because of their jealousy of his talent. Okay, this is sad, he was indeed a victim, but it doesn't excuse him at all. He's physically abusing these young players, one of them even had a muscle lesion, and they are all in bad shape because of a personal, and pointless "vendetta". This is ridiculous, he should be in prison, but since Tacchan saw Nitta trying unreasonably hard, he decided that it's okay to suffer physical abuse in order to be the "best" for Koushien, great! |

| Man for a coach who barely does anyhting except sitting around and drinking beer he sure likes to bully people who barely have time to heal their major injuries. His reason for being an asshole to everyone doesn't really excuse any of his behaviour whatsoever, he could have just outed it towards his brother not to innocent people. Good thing Tatsuya got inspired by Nitta but I don't think he should misunderstand just plain bullying for actual hardcore training. |

Doesn't make him any less of a knob. In fact it makes him even more reprehensible. No one forced him to take the heat for his brother's actions, if he wanted he could have taken the glory for himself. It's no good training so hard that you can't perform on the day because of sleep deprivation or cock up on the field with a muscle strain or torn ligament like Nakajima did... |

| For once Yuka did something good, then she got hit by a baseball. And you know what happens next. But it least 2 good things transpired from this. 1. It got Minami jealous. She's cute when she's angry. 2. Tacchan went to Nitta household (again) and saw the exhausted Nitta. He realizes his current practice is nowhere near as grueling as Nitta's and Nitta is doing this WITHOUT the "help" of a demon coach. I'm kinda glad demon coach Kashiwaba didn't have a 1:1 backstory as Tacchan's. It's pretty similar but not exactly the same. Harada said he volunteered to take the bullet for his older brother but once he grew older and reflected on his past actions he started to hate and resent it. addictedtoliving said: Funny you say that because I thought he was Kazuya if Tatsuya never held back his talent for his younger brother.
