Dunno... it's just so impressive, dark and realistic... and at the same time kinda cute too :D Also it reminds me the art of H.R. Giger which is totally awesome! |

When I'm looking at his art, I have a feeling it's blackness skrached out of white paper. I don't know if you get the idea ^^'. It resembles me of something scraped, not drawn. The coloured version is different, it really amuse with intensity and it' very delicate at the same time. Plus, almost shocking level of details. |

Nihei's art is something out of the manga world we currently in. My meeting with Nihei happened with Sidonia no Kishi. Anime amazed me so much with its structures and scientific explains to every situation that made me wanna check its mangaka. Then i slowly realized that he has a manga named Blame! and its on everyone's "fave list". I've read Sidonia first then Blame, Abara, Biomega and even his oneshot mangas ( Sabrina and Dead Heads are my fave ;3 ) and in the end i understood what exactly Nihei art is. It's making unstable structures stand on their own. That's what exactly Nihei's art is.. And he does not draw anime-like guys and girls. Also in every manga of him guys look like they are the main protagonist but girl's role is more important than what the main guy does, these are details i like about him so much besides structures and stuff. |
