| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah, we got some Sayaka-service this episode. It's too bad in a way - in the 70s or 80s we would have gotten an "unencumbered" view of her "assets". <g> But then, we might have gotten a similarly clearer view of Asura in the shower, which I don't think anyone is ready for... LOL So Mazinger is equiped to fly now. And Kouji has learned that it helps to have friends on his side. |
| Did we really need the Asura shower scene? That will give me nightmare tonight. Anyway, decent ep, and completely campy ending. |
| Funny episode, and we see a bit of chara development so it wasn't exactly pointless. Oh and some light Sayaka fanservice too. |

| I laughed when Kouji just sucker-punched Kingdan at the end. I thought this episode was funny, but I'm more looking forward to next the arc with the blonde girl and her father (seen in the first episode), they seem interesting. |

How is this show any different from the other robot shows he directed (Giant Robo, Tetsujin 28th, G Gundam)? Plenty of people like his directing style, including myself, but there are also people who don't. You don't like it, okay, but it's not like he's doing anything worse than usual and that's not failing. |

| What do you expect from Go Nagai? Robots fighting each other like in the original Mazinger. So far we've seen drones fight each other and not much esle. |

But you like the Giant Robo ovas and Giant Robo rarely even fights in it. Actually, he fights even less than Mazinger. Drones fighting each other? Isn't this like Giant Robo? Yeah, the whole show was about people with superpowers. Also, didn't episode 11 have an awesome fight between Mazinger and the Saluud? This fight was in the original Mazinger manga. What more could you want from Go Nagai? And if you're referring to the anime version from 1972, then this wasn't Go Nagai. This was Toei. Go Nagai is a manga artist, not a director. Third, there's no use in comparing it to the anime version of 1972 because it's not a remake but rather the adaptation of the original mazinger z, z mazinger and mazinger: relic of terror manga. | Thinking about dropping this all the side characters get on my nerves and pretty much useless. Tsubasa Nishikiori and her group the only other characters i like. |
