| Okay That was an interesting episode... I wonder what really happened to that girl. It seems the bears ate her little girlfriend though. Looking forward to the next episode for now, if it doesn't start making more sense in 2-3 weeks I'll drop it though. |

| What an artsy clusterfuck of an anime, then again this is from the same person who did Penguindrum Near extreme and heartmelting kinds yuri and large amounts of other types of lesbian imagery permeates this series and poor Sumika, she's being eaten. I'm going to keep this to see how nonsensical and insane this gets. |

| A bit of "trivia" to help facilitate further interpretation. There are a lot of sexual innuendos being thrown around. Some less obvious than others. For example: 蜜/mitsu/honey, nectar - can refer to vaginal secretion. 蜜壷/mitsutsubo/honey jar - building upon your newly found knowledge - what could it possibly mean? (for the slightly mentally impaired - vagina). Also, "eating" in Japanese, like in English, can have a sexual connotation as well. Make of it what you will. |

| Did someone say Yuri, or more like YURI? Wasn't sure what to expect and to be honest I still not sure, but I loved it nonetheless. It definitely had the feeling and style of an Ikuhara show especially with the art style, presentation, and weirdness. Can't wait for the next episode. Gao! Gao! Also, I really like the OP, have had it on repeat for a while. |

| Well... I guess this has potential... Honestly I am not sure what to think of it at the moment... Art/Animation: Overall the quality is very good, some aesthetic choices might be a bit TOO artsy for my liking because occasionally it can make it difficult to understand what is going on. Also, the faces are very moe... Not exactly a bad thing but not very memorable... I do like the outfits they wear though. Sound: The voice acting is pretty dull for the most part, nothing terrible but nothing really good either. The background music I really liked, created an interesting atmosphere that made the episode make me feel... kind of uncomfortable? In a good way I mean. Characters+Story: I'll be honest... the characters do not appeal to me yet. The bears are pretty over the top and I love them for that but the human women are pretty dull and boring. Perhaps after some backdrop and development I'll like them more but with the dull voices and personalities that range from, "I like this kind of bento" and "I want to be your friend", they didn't make much of a first impression on me. Again, this is the first episode, so maybe they will get better but for now they don't really interest me. I am glad that the episode started off informing us that it wasn't using Yuri as a simple trashy ecchi fap material and that it will actually be going into the theme's of Love, Sacrifice, Paranoia, yada yada. With that said, there wasn't much to be seen this episode in ways of exploring those themes besides establishing that character A loves character B. Also... Invisible Storm... What the heck is it? It infects people and takes away something precious to them? I hope it's explained next episode. lol Life Sexy is very sexy. That is all. I also liked how after a person disappears, rumors spread throughout the school and it seems to grow the paranoia of everyone when they find out a bear is somewhere and someone is missing. They didn't show the face of the girl who was eaten, I assume it's Sumika but who the hell knows? I don't really care about Sumika yet because I don't even know her but it doesn't look like they are going to shove it in my face that she died expecting me to care so this will likely be more so a plot point. I'll say one thing, this is certainly an unpredictable series. The over the top visuals, over the top yuri-ness, cute looking bears that are *supposed?* to be threatening and just the surprisingly good amount of atmosphere accompanying it... makes it sort of... funny... I'll continue this, hoping it gets more interesting but it could just end up being pretentious artsy fartsy Yuri nonsense. *Crunch*Crunch*Crunch*Crunch*Crunch* |

However, I found the Op and the court (I liked only the form/situation but not the substance, the proceedings of it : one consistency was preferred to the other; there was no neutral jugement, no sort of laws) enjoyable. I will probably drop it after the second episode if that's the same. |

| YurikumaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! The story is pretty straight forward so far, the first half is devoted to defining the world and building up Tsubaki's character and her relationship with Izumino, the latter is a little bit "what the?", but it's only the first episode so it's not supposed to make sense right away. The visual is colorful and clean, huge different to shinbo's style, which I think is always excessive and tiring after a few watches. The sense of flow is really good, didn't feel bored or confused (at least not Kunihiko Ikuhara intended) one single time, and the music choice is excellent, complementing the situations and the character's emotions but never over-exaggerated, not bad for a first episode. But I have to say if you can't tolerate yuri even a little bit you may not have a great time with it, although I believe that is not all this show is about, but there's going to be a lot of yuri and fan service, and that's one complaint I have, it's not as accessible as the director's last project, or is lt?  It reminds me of the Sankebetsu brown bear incident, but instead of one giant bear, is two adorable yuri bears, I think I'm okay with that. Let the OVERTHINKING begin!!! |

| This was the best way to start my morning. It's just so outrageously over the top that I know I won't tire of it. I'd love to know where this is going. The possibilities are endless. Ikuhara must be having so much fun with this. I was kinda hoping that Life Sexy would end up being a singular menacing figure like Akio in Utena or Sanetoshi in Penguindrum, but it seems like he might have more in common Touga (basing from the fact that he's part of a committee.) Who knows? It's just so wonderful. I am so completely happy. |
| This was beautiful. I'm speechless. Ikuhara saving anime so soon after Imaishi, and he's succeeding at doing an even better anime saving. God bless Ikuhara, the man who saved anime in 2015. This show blew away the whole last year. |
