Alright all you guitar fans, post your collections! List what you have, or even better, post photos!

As for me:

Wine Red '75 Gibson Les Paul Standard
Sunburst Fender Stratocaster (Mexican) with Fender Noiseless pickups
Blonde Fender '50s Tele (Mexican) with Fender Texas Special pickups
Translucent Black Epiphone Wildkat with Bigsby
Black Ibanez acoustic-electric
Fender Blonde Blues Jr. combo amp
Peavey Triumph 60 combo amp
White Fender Jazz Bass (Mexican)

The only one I have a picture handy of is the Les Paul. It's my nicest and most expensive guitar, though the output jack is a bit too loose now and the tuners are less-than-ideal. I bought it from the music store where I used to work - they sold it new to a nearby prison. A few years back the prison brought it back to the store because it was too nice and expensive a guitar, trading it out for a bunch of cheap ones.

On my hope-to-buy list are a Fender American Vintage '57 Strat, a Taylor 314ce, a Vox AC30 Custom Classic, a Gretsch White Falcon or other nice hollowbody and a decent bass amp (perhaps a Gallien-Krueger)

It's funny, but I actually enjoy playing my cheap Fenders more. I'm just partial to single coil pickups though, I guess. I'd probably use my Les Paul more if I had a little work done to fix the jack and replace the tuners, but as I understand that'd lower the value since it's an old guitar. =/

I'm a bass player, so I have a bass guitar rather than a guitar collection. I'm a pretty much a beginner, only learning for about 8 months now, so I have only one bass, it's an Active Ibanez GSR-200, a red one. I bought it 2nd hand in a perfect condition from a friend who quit because she didn't practice, one deal with the amop included, it's a 25' Fender Rumble. Looks like a monster, sounds okay, I've heard better.

Regarding Fenders, I've tried alot of my friends's Fenders, aswell as my teacher's Fender P-Bass. Didn't like any of them as much as I love my Ibanez, despite it being a bit of a cheap bass compared to the P-Bass.

I'll get the picture later.

My setup...

Ibanez RG 1820X Prestige (Galaxy Black)
Jay Turser Vinta GE Series (Deep Red) with Black Faceplate and EMG Humbuckers
Takamine G Series 12 String Acoustic
SDGR Ibanez 5 String Bass (Light Wood)

Randall G2 Series 200 W Head and 4X12 Cab (Vintage 80 Celestions)
Roland Cube 30 Combo Amp
Bassmaster 100 Combo Amp
Boss GT-8 Effects Processor/Pedal
(Had a bunch of DigiTech stompboxes, but the GT-8 destroyed them all)

Think thats it. Definitly would like to pick up a Les Paul sometime...probably a Standard or an SG (that's a great looking axe krelian)
However...the instrument I would love to pick up would be a Lute. Been looking all over, but really good ones you need to get custom made. Just a little expensive...probably a 10 or 13 course Lute. They just have amazing sounds, and an awsome playing style.

That's pretty unique. I can see why you'd need to have one custom made - I've never seen one or even heard one played that I know of. And getting a good instrument that's rather common (like a guitar) can be pricey enough.

Here's my collection:

Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Standard Plus (what can be better for an anime freak than a japanese made Les Paul:P).The only drawback as compared to a Gibby Standard is the two piece body, but on the other hand it compensates this by having a long tennon neck joint and no weight relief (both features are only found in Custom Shop Gibsons:P)

LTD Viper 2005 anniversary edition (only slightly different from the current Viper-500)

Instruments: Schecter C-1 Elite (Amber, Discontinued), Schecter Revenger (Black, 7 String, Discontinued), Epiphone EJ-250 (Acoustic), Douglas Bass (6 string) and a Fender Mandolin. ^_^
Amplifiers: B-52 ST-6012 All Tube 60watt, Acoustic B100 Bass Amp
Effects: Boss MT-2, MXR Phaser, Boss Super Chorus, Boss Dynamic Wah, amoung others. Asking for a Boss ME20 multi-effects pedal for Christmas.
Misc: Monster Cables, Dunlop Picks (1.07mm, .88mm, and .58mm), and various other things.

I'm probably going to fix up my Schecter Revenger. I keep it tuned at C for playing Death Metal and that sort of stuff, so I want to make it all evil looking. Probably going to switch out the stock knobs for skull knobs and put some humbucker covers on it.
I'm back.

Krelian, I gotta admit though I'm not a big fan of LP's, that Wine Red Les Paul is beautiful.

Guitars:
Ibanez RG350DX
Starcaster S2 by Fender (Half-scalloped, killswitch, standby switch)
Yamaha acoustic

Amps:
Crate GT212 120W
Some crappy Drive 15W I never use

Effects:
Dunlop GCB-95 Crybaby

I'm looking to install new pups for my Ibanez, anybody ever play a guitar with a Super Distortion or FRED?

Jackson or Les Paul? You're comparing apples to oranges here, totally different sound.I'd say, figure out if you want a floyd rose tremolo or not.If yes, go Rhoads, otherwise I think the Les Paul is the better hardtail.Personally, I love my LP to the death.Simply amazing sound, my EMG equiped LTD cannot compare.A buddy of mine who has a Rhoads has emntioned that the shape becomes a nuisance after the novelty factor wears off.The thing dents and chips a lot, especially around the tips of the fins

I see. ^^
I want a guitar that can be played with almost any genre. A les paul is ideal for that.
But I also want to play more metal, a jackson is also perfect for metal. x_x
I'm in a dilemma D:

oh... maybe he's just not taking good care of it? o_o

You can play any genre with both guitars, just the usual Jackson body looks more...metalish.

Plus, Jacksons are usually equipped with a Floyd Rose. LP's usually are not. Floyd roses are pretty sick, especially for metal.

The electronics also differ, Jacksons would be fitted with higher output pickups, compared to the standard LP pups. But of course, you can always change them. Not really electronics but the LP craftsmanship usually contributes to a signature "LP tone". Not sure if you're looking specifically for that.

I believe the necks would also differ. I personally dislike LP necks, as I play a Fender and an Ibanez. I prefer the thinness of the Fender and the flatness of the Ibanez necks over the LP neck. Never played Jackson necks though, but I hear they are fast.

I hate to say it, but looks are also important. LP's are a standard these days, Jackson RR's not so much (they are pretty popular in metal, however. just not mainstream).

Think about what you would guitar you truly would see yourself happy playing for years.

(I have heard that Jackson Floyd Rose bridges have problems, as they are licensed. But then again you are considering a RR, so you should have no problems)

Haven't actually heard a jackson first hand nor know much about it other than the reviews I've read. But my cousin say's they're really awesome, also it looks cool XD that's why I considered it on my shopping list.

About the looks, Jackson's RR only looks badass when you play metal. On the other hand you'd look good with an LP in any genre, but yes they're pretty much standard. Almost everyone has a les paul.

btw, I also haven't seen a les paul with a floyd rose. Are there any?

Silvertone Revolver with the pickup torn out, body roughly routed, and a musicman pickup smashed in the middle
also the pickguard ripped off and a curved J-Bass style chrome control cover in its place

A cheap old POS acoustic I need to work on (ment for nylon, has steel strings, tuned down a full step)

A fairly decent Telecaster Knockoff

Through a host of effects, including an old Dunlop Crybaby, Aron bass distortion, and some Danelectro Effects

Through either a huge fucking 300W Acoustic Model 320 amplifier going into a 2x10 and a 1x15

Or for my guitar, an old sweet 70s 30W bass amp (Stradolin 540 Bass Amp) that sounds like sex when over driven.

I also have an old pos yamaha in peices, being defretted, a warlock that I am gonna work on, and my first gutar that is gonna be a strat with a tele bridge with phasing pickups

As for synths, I have a piece of shit Midistudio keyboard from the 90s (complete with the joystick computer cable). I use Abox (modular Synth) and B4 II by Native Instruments (Clonewheel)

As for drumset, a piece of shit 5 pad 2 pedal set gets me by, though it sounds like ass and is falling apart.

I guess I'm kind of late to the whole Jackson vs. Les Paul discussion, but at least in my opinion you shouldn't get anything with a Floyd Rose unless you actually intend to use it on a regular basis. In my experience they're more of a pain in the ass to restring, so you want to make sure it's worth the effort. For me, at least, it definitely wasn't, but if you use your tremolo often then a Floyd Rose would be great to have.

In my opinion, Les Pauls are way overglorified. I wanted one for so, so long, but when I finally got to play one for a while, I rejected it and went to Ibanez. Ibanez guitars are also extremely overrated. They used to be made very well, but now only the high-end models are any good. Most of their guitars below $500 seem to be made of putty, in my experience. The only guitars that I have had any real consistency with are Schecters. I own a Diamond Series Schecter Hellraiser (I'm not sure about the model, but I'm fairly positive it's a C-6 FR), and it's amazing. I'm probably gonna stick with Schecter Guitar Research from now on.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

Other guitars I have are a Fender DG-3 acoustic, a Laguna LE222 (the second guitar I ever owned), and some nameless, brandless old relic from 1960something.
