Well, good directing is good directing. Even this rather uneventful, compared to #1, episode ended way to fast. I would rather see them reuse animation for the opening than waste money on a bunch of animation that has no impact on the quality of the show whatsoever. Anyway, this ruled. So long as this keeps up it's easily the best anime I've seen since Kaiji, in terms of when stuff was released as opposed to when I watched it that is. It has some pretty stiff competition from Basquash! as the best title this season though (at least so long as Basquash! doesn't immediately take a nosedive) and Ippo S2 as the best of the year. |

| Liked this episode a lot, it was pretty funny too. Animation seems to have improved a bunch and the directing is still top-notch. And yes, the opening is too awesome for words. Also, the foreshadowing in this ep was pretty neat. I like how the murder victims being Ashura's spies was foreshadowed by having the assassin kill them all with vertical cuts, to match Baron Ashura's split face. 5/5 |

How are top anime/manga scores calculated? Only scores where a user has completed at least 1/5 of the anime/manga are calculated. Example: If you watched a 26 episode series, this means you would had to have watched at least 5 episodes (26/5.2)=5. We're using 5.2 instead of 5 so we get a whole number for "most" series. Formula Weighted Rank (WR) = (v / (v + m)) * S + (m / (v + m)) * C S = Average score for the Anime (mean). v = Number of votes for the Anime = (Number of people scoring the Anime). m = Minimum votes/scores required to get a calculated score (currently 50 scores required). C = The mean score across the entire Anime DB. Considering the usual five episodes of anime needed for a score to count is less than the length of most films it isn't exactly difficult to sit through, unless a series is absolutely dreadful. Of course it isn't like people can't just lie about how much they've watched of a series either. |

| Dunno. It's alright, I guess. I'm having a hard time getting into it. I find myself getting bored and checking my email and stuff while the episode plays. It's probably better if you've seen the old Mazinger stuff. |

| Holy FUCK NOW THAT WAS MUCH BETTER THAN EPISODE 1 HOLY FUCK KABUTO KOUJI WAS AMAZING THAT KIND OF PERSONALITY IN A MAIN CHARACTER IS WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR IN THESE KINDS OF ANIME HOLY SHIT Though the animation is HORRENDOUS. And maaaaan those "robot" designs are freaking UGLY. Everything's so fucking ugly that it's going to end up being pure win. |

| It's hard to believe this is a reinvention of what is an angular stone of the japanese TV animation: this looks like it has been made of money left-overs from something else. Anyway, still the same over-reacting over-exagerrated over-anythingness, even when it clearly takes some things straight out of the original. Funny to see Boss introduced so soon. 4/5 Why is Dr. Kabuto one-eyed? |
