| I'd be more hopeful if 16 films were submitted, which would've raised the number of nominations to 5 instead of 3, but where it's at now it's incredibly unlikely to be nominated. My guess is that it will be Wall-E, Bashir, and Kung-Fu Panda, with Wall-E winning. |

| Eh, Sword of the Stranger being nominated wont do anime any favours, because its so shallow the idea that all anime although pretty but ultimately hollow will continue to prevail in the west. And crappy adaptations like Dragonball wont help. Dont get me wrong I liked Sword of the Stranger, but the story was mediocre. |

| For anyone who doesn't know, Sword of the Stranger didn't get nominated, neither did The Sky Crawlers. The final three nominations are... WALL-E Kung Fu Panda Bolt Predictable, but I'm surprised Waltz with Bashir didn't make it in. The awards will take place on the 22nd of February, although we all already know the winner. |
