| There was only one comment for last week's movie. I don't think anyone watched it including myself. I only saw about half. With my move, I just haven't had tome to watch much of anything. |

| Yeah I saw. Starting this movie, not sure how much time I have atm. Another unique art style, subs are slow but I'm nit sure if I set them wrong since I've never had to turn them on. Usually the subs are on the actual movie. |

| LMAO when White was imitating Black. EDIT 7/10 I'm tired and I probably missed the point of the movie, it was good and a few of the characters were well done. Rat and the two cops were cool. |

| I started it but just haven't had much time lately. (I don't care about multiple posts and don't understand why anybody does, but some people do.) I love the town and the detail lavished on it. |

| Well, if anyone cares what an old fart like me thinks of Tekkon Kinkreet, let me start out by saying that this anime is in my Top 10 (or so) list. Even more amazing is that this show was the first anime directed by Michael Arias, a transplanted American who now lives in Japan, speaks fluent Japanese and has a Japanese wife. The anime is based on a manga created by Taiyou Matsumoto. Some people complained about the art style of the anime, well it follows the art of the manga pretty well, so people should deal with it. I found it refreshing. IMO, the main idea of the story is about two street kids who try to survive in a dangerous, decaying city. What I found most enjoyable was the interaction and dependence, Black and White had for each other. At first glance, the simple minded and gentle White seems to be totally dependent on Black who is violent and dangerous to anyone but White. But what one comes to discover is that they both cannot survive without each other. White explains that (I can’t remember the exact quote) Black is missing a few screws but White has enough for both of them. The plot is secondary to the relationship between Black & White (Yin & Yang). Just enjoy it for the surreal adventure. If you failed to see the greatness of this anime, please watch it again sometime. By the way, I watched this on a commercial DVD released in the US by Sony and produced by Studio 4°C and Aniplex. I watched the Dub and it was most excellent, so Watch the Dubso you won’t miss the beautiful detail animation. |
