"Kruo?!?" exclaimed a woman's voice as she saw the little boy lying on the ground, "Honey! Get the futon and the medicine in the cabinet!" "Hai!" yelled a teenage girl as she ran upstairs. "What's going on?" asked a mans voice. "Kuro..." said the woman with a cracking voice, "He's burning up..." she said as she sobbed. "It's fine dear... it's just a slight fever, I'm gonna take him to his room," said the man as he reached to grab Kuro but pulled his hand got. The skin was scorched and blistering after a second of contact, "What the-" "Mommy... I don't feel good..." Kuro said as he stood up. The potted plants began to wither as the heat emitted from Kuro was suffocating, "Am I going to die?" he asked with lifeless eyes. "n-n-n-no, yo-you are-en't go-goin-ng to d-die,"' she said as her tears dried seconds after rolling down her cheek. Both her and the man wear lying on the ground. They both were sweating profusely, and it looked like their skin was beginning to peel. the sound of a person falling down the stairs shocked Kuro. The sound of bones cracking made him stagger to see what happened. The teenage girl was at the bottom of the stairs, her skin was peeling too and his neck was twisted around. "Onee-san?" asked Kuro as he leaned against the wall and looked at his parents, "Mama? Papa?" he asked as tears ran down his lifeless eyes and the stove in the kitchen exploded as he yelled out again. His eyes dilated and the entire house was consumed in fire. The sound of sirens blaring towards the house as he sat there sobbing in the middle of the fire. Kuro shot up gasping for breath. Looking around the room, he saw he was lying on a cot and a blue haired guy sitting in a chair reading a shojo manga looked up, "Finally up?" asked the guy. "Yeah... geh... I had that dream again..." he said as he saw his soaked sheets, which was caused by sweat. "Your telling me... I had to chill the air around me just not to get roasted," the blue haired guy chuckled. "What are you doing here anyways Tenshi?" asked Kuro. "That's rude. I came to wake you up," he said. Both of them had five silver studs in their ears. Tenshi had them on his left, and Kuro his right, "There was more Forsaken escapees this morning at like 2. They are getting settled in here as we speak," Tenshi said. "Doesn't surprise me... I wouldn't want to be in the prison either," Kuro chuckled. "It's called a rehabilitation center, but might as well be called a prison. I was ours since we were twelve," Tenshi said as he closed the manga and got up. "Yeah... we still have the tags to prove it," Kuro said as he got dressed and they headed for hte market in Rosuto Village. |

Eiko closed her eyes against the glare of the sun, both irritated and overjoyed. She had finally finished the last of her classes and now what lay beyond should be smooth sailing. Or so she would think. Unfortunately what comes after graduation is, undoubtedly, loans. Tons and tons...of loans. She groaned. The alumni would hardly be getting a cent of her own well-earned money until her borrowed loans were paid. Nonetheless, she was ecstatic. Even with the loans. with her degree she could get a well-paying job that could pay off her loans in no time. And with her innate ability, her job would be all the better. Eiko glanced at her palms, smiling as they glowed softly. Everyday since his death, she had practiced and harnessed her powers to fruition. The one thing she was unable to do, however, was heal internal injuries. She supposed that was a good thing; how else could medical schools stay open? But still, she wished she could. Damn medical schools and their blasted loans. She groaned again. Here she goes, circling and circling only to come back to the same train of thought. Loans. Sighing she gathered up her purse, counting up the money she had, and started into the village to gather supplies. |

Tenshi and Kuro were walking through the market looking for anything they could eat for later. A one stud pyro was roasting meat that his partner, a guy that worked on a farm and had the power to control plants, had gave him from a cow he was raising. The open market area of the village was the liveliest part of the village during the morning. "hmm?" Tenshi looked at a carton of fresh eggs, "How much?" asked Tenshi. "10 Copper pieces," the man at the stand said as he looked up from his newpaper. "Huh? The hell is with that!" Tenshi yelled. "Normally it's 2 Copper pieces, but I muliplied it by the amount of studs you have," he chuckled. Tenshi sighed and dug out 10 copper pieces, "Cheap old bastard," he sneered as he took the eggs and walked towards Kuro who had a package of meat. "What else so we need?" asked Kuro. "Hmm... I dunno, maybe some fruit?" Tenshi said as he looked over and saw a girl looking around the market, "No studs? Must either be human or a Manifested." "Yeah..." Kuro replied as the two looked at her for a few more seconds. |

She let her hands fall to her side, eyes scanning the crowd. Someone was watching her she could feel it. The feeling always arose whenever the hairs on her neck stood on end. Brushing back her violet hair, she noticed two young men staring intently at her. On closer speculation, she had noticed that they were both Forsaken, not to mention 5-studded Forsaken. Lovely, she thought dryly. And right near the guy who sells the eggs. Okay, don't make eye contact, stay firm and poised, no sudden movements. She may have enough power to STALL a forsaken with her barriers, but she definitely didn't have enough to battle a Forsaken. So for now, she had to play it cool and pray that she doesn't offend the duo. Slowly but surely, she approached the vendor. "Um, a dozen eggs please." she timidly asked, reaching into her purse. |

"Shit she saw us..." Kuro whispered. "It's not my fault," Tenshi said, "She looks freaked out. You weren't ogling her were you?" asked Tenshi. "Huh??!? You were looking at her first. My mind doesn't wander as much as yours, neither do my eyes.." Kuro said bluntly. "Meh... first sight at out studs and people stay away from us," Tenshi said ash he shrugged and looked back at her, "Oye! Be careful" Tenshi called out, "That old man is a cheapskate!" he roared over the crowd. The two of them chuckled and picked up there things, Tenshi took the meat from Kuro and blew on it, freezing it until they got back the Dead Man's Alley. "Man... money is tight... maybe we should go rob a bank in Ryoku" Kuro roared, "just kidding," he added as he made a V for victory. The people in the village was looking at him after his little outburst. "This is why I hate hanging out with you sometimes..." Tenshi said as he sighed. "You aren't any better..." Kuro sulked. "Better than you are though... I keep those kind of thoughts in my head..." Tenshi replied as the two headed at the other stalls. |

"Oye oye!" Tenshi said as he stepped in front of the guy and Kuro caught the girl, "It's ain't smart for a human like ya to be in this village," Tenshi said as he grabbed the guys by the shirt and looked at him in the eye close up, "Everyone in this village doesn't have a fuckin' problem with us. So get ya asses back to over ta Ryoku 'kay?" Tenshi asked the guys shirt began to turn into ice. "You okay?" asked Kuro as the girl who was squirming. Kuro created a fireball in his right hand as he was holding her with his left, "Get the hell out ya guys, unless ya want to get bitten or burned." <<Bitten or burned is a phrase Tenshi and Kuro use when they are together, bitten means Frostbite from Tenshi freezing them, while burning is obvious. The way they are speaking is suppose to be like the yakuza in japan. This inst' how they speak, they are just trying to be more intimidating.>> |

The men noticed that both Tenshi and Kuro had 5 studs. 'What should we do captain? We can't beat them!' 'Let's head back to the city for now... You guys, I'm telling you that that girl is very dangerous, so be careful with her!' The soldiers left the village. 'Phew... Thank you. I was so scared. Oh, and by the way, my name is Kiku. Yoroshiku.' Kiku smiled. |

"To hell with that! Kuro yelled as he watched them go, "We don't have fucking 5 studs for nothing!" barked Kuro as he threw a threw a rock towards them. It landed 10 feet in front of them and had a second delay before it exploded, creating a tiny yet harmful explosion. "Nice to meet you," Tenshi said as he smiled, "I'm Tenshi Akki, also known as Ice Demon, and this is my friend-" "Kuro Shin. Also known as Salamander," Kuro said as he watched the group of guys freak out from the tiny explosion, "HAH! Look at those idiots." "We broke out of that prison 6 years ago, and some of the first to ever do so successfully. We got those nicknames from the head of the government himself... I hate that guy..." Tenshi said. "So what did you do that labeled you as dangerous?" asked Kuro, "You have 5 stubs right?" |

'Yeah... that's right... Um... I don't know why they labeled me dangerous. I haven't done anything!' Tears started to roll dow on Kiku's cheeks. I don't know how, though...' She started to cry. |

Eiko stood by, watching as the young girl fled into the arms of the Forsaken duo. She felt kind of...sad for her. Having to run away because of how others viewed her: Tainted, stained, desecrated, wrong. And those tears, they told of years of pain, years of torment, years of imprisonment. What wrong could she have done? What was wrong with the Forsaken? They are too powerful, freaks of nature, not meant for this world... Even back then she didn't completely understand. What was wrong with having powers? She, herself, had the unusual power of healing and yet, she was not looked down upon like the Forsaken. And now looking as the men consoled, protected the young girl, she was beginning to question. Where did the line separating Manifested and Forsaken begin? Maybe there was no line, maybe everything she ever thought was a lie. Should she stay in Wonderland and see how deep the rabbit hole goes? Sighing, she paid the merchant her pieces and walked over to the trio. "Are you hurt anywhere?" she asked, hands glowing faintly. |

"I don't believe it..." Tenshi said bluntly as he stared at the girl that walked over. "Me either..." Kuro said as he looked too. "Medic?" asked Tenshi as he turned to Kuro. "Healer?" asked Kuro. "That means she is a Manifested," Tenshi said. "And she is casually talking to us," Kuro said. "I think she is talking to Kiku-chan though," Tenshi said. "Mhmm... that's true," Kuro said as he stroked his chin. They both looked at Kiku, "So. Are you hurt? Or hungry? Anything?" they asked in unison. |

She hmph'ed, crossing her arms over her chest. "I prefer to be called by my ACTUAL name, not just Manifested if you don't mind." Noticing no injuries of any type her hands settled at her side, the glow dissipating. What was she thinking, walking up to three Forsaken? Was she starting to grow a third head? Were pigs flying? What if she was wrong about these people? What if they weren't who she thought they were and, once they escorted her to the centre, tried to harm her? She could always turn back now, make a run for it. But what if the people at this safe house needed medical treatment? She couldn't just pass up a chance to help people. Besides, she could kill two birds with one stone. See what the other side was like, see how these Forsaken were, and help people in the process. She sighed, following the group towards the safe house and whatever awaited her. |

Tenshi smirked at the girl who said she had healing powers, "Well~ Manifested-chan, you never introduced yourself, so we don't know who you are~" he teased as they reached their destination, "Ah... Dead End Alley," Tenshi said as he opened the door, "Morning Obba-san!" he called out with a giant smile as a bottle of sake flew at him, "You know it's not nice to do that~" he said as he laughed and caught the bottle, using his powers to chill it. "Well don't call me Obba-san then!" shouted a fiery red head that was behind the counter. She was in her thirties, and had to gold studs in her ear. "Sorry~" Tenshi called out as he opened the bottle and took a swing of the Sake, "can you get us 4 house specials?" he asked as he lead the group to a table in the back. He stopped when he saw a familiar face, "I'll catch up with you guys later," he said as he smiled, "Ja ne, Manifested-chan~" he saw as he hurried over to a girl seated on the other side. "Heh... same old Tenshi. He may appear as cold as ice, but he is actually a good guy if he likes you," Kuro said as the three sat down. Eiko took a seat, glancing at the Forsaken before her. They acted like...normal people. Aside from their powers there was pretty much nothing separating Forsaken and Manifested. Yet why is there such hostility? As Manifested she can stroll down any street, receiving soft-spoken comments and humility. With Forsaken it was completely different. They were looked upon like the plague and had to depend on safe houses like these as their only shelter or comfort from the outside. "Well," she started, trying to start up a conversation. Perhaps she should introduce herself...she definitely didn't want to be constantly called Manifested-chan. "My name is Eiko...so is this where you stay?" she asked before biting rather hungrily into her special. |

"No we live in the basement. This is just a plain tavern up top, but its the downstairs where the Lost and other Forsaken and Manifested that fought against the government live. Oh! I'm Kuro Shin by the way. Level 5 stud Forsaken, nicknamed Salamander on my file. I have the power to infuse, create, and control fire," he said as he made a small fireball and held it over a strip of bacon on his plate that he got from market, cooking it for consumption, "Locked up from age 5 till 12 for the accidental murder of my entire family when I manifested." He looked over at Tenshi who was sitting with Hana, "That's Tenshi Akki, another Level 5. He was at that hellhole longer than I have been. Entered at age three when his entire family was killed as well, along with the people that lived in the houses around him. All of them completely frozen when his powers manifested," Kuro said as he bite into the piece of bacon. "Life here isn't that bad because we are all like family here. All of the Lost were alone, so we created a family by coming together as one," Kuro said as he heated up the coffee in front of him. |

"Well," she said, gulping down her food. Dang this stuff was good...now let's hope she doesn't have to pay. "I already told you my name. It's Eiko. My powers well...manifested during an unfortunate period in my life." She didn't want to explain the incident to people she just met. That was between herself and her family. "Like you said, I'm Manifested so I'm gifted with the ability to heal. I can also make barriers and use holy or light based techniques. But wait..." she paused, finding the right words to say. "You guys were chased down by the government just because your powers manifested and went haywire? Didn't you try explaining that it wasn't your fault?" This wasn't making sense. How could people be imprisoned for something that was beyond their control? |

"We were imprisoned because our hands were stained. Just because of some idiots in the past that fucked up the reputation of those with our kind of powers, we have to get punished. How could we explain ourselves when no one wanted to listen?" he asked as he placed the coffee down. He took a bite out of the burger, "I envy those that aren't branded with these damn things," he said pointed at his right ear, "but I'm not saying that I'd want their powers. My powers are useful even if the government doesn't want to see it that way. When they look at people like me and Tenshi all they see is blood stained killers. That's it. Period." |

It was sad to be doomed to a fate such as theirs. Taking the blame for something that they could not stop. "So what are you going to do?" she ventured. Based on their answers, she concluded, she had made the right choice in coming here. Everything she'd been taught, everything that's been drilled into her head was a complete and utter waste. Everything was a lie, nothing was as it seems. Not even the government she lived under was the same in her eyes. "I understand that you're vengeful against the government. So how are you going to change that? Just sitting here in this safe house isn't changing anything, to tell you the truth." She was being bold, she knew, but she had to voice her thoughts. Just staying here wasn't doing anything, wasn't changing anything, wasn't altering ANYTHING. Eiko took hold of her cup and downed its contents, glad for the cool liquid cleansing her parched throat. |

Kuro put his hands on the table and got up. His eyes looked cold but fiery at the same time, "Who said we are just sitting here doing nothing?" he asked in a cold voice. It was different from his voice earlier when they had meet, "We are helping escapees just like us fight just to live. We don't do thing during broad day light, so just because we were talking friendly to each other, don't assume you know everything about what we do here," he said as he dropped 2 silver pieces on the table and headed for the door. The coins were bending slightly from where he touched them, and his fingerprints were engraved into them. Tenshi who had just finished eating with a girl he knew came back and sat down, "Where did Kuro run off to?" he asked as he saw the silver pieces, "Ah... never mind, I'd rather not know right now. So how's the food?" he asked. |

She coughed lightly into her hand. Perhaps she shouldn't have been too forward. "It's great. Really delicious." she responded, looking at the door which Kuro went through. He was right, despite how much she wanted him to be wrong. She really didn't know anything of Forsaken life. All she was doing was making assumption after assumption, hoping that she'd hit the nail on the head. But instead, she only made things worse and now her newfound relationship with the Forsaken was grounded just when it began. "Um, excuse me Tenshi." Eiko grabbed her purse, placing a few pieces on the table and strode out the door after Kuro. |

"Look," she looked down, rubbing her arm nervously,"I-I'm sorry. What I said before was...uncalled for. You're right, I don't know everything about you guys. But that's why I want to learn. "I'll forgive you, but that doesn't change who am I. You know another reason why we are hated? Look..." he pulled out a flier that was in his back pocket. Eiko glanced at the flyer, deep in thought. Could she really forgive...a killer? But, he killed for the means of assisting those who have been unjustly persecuted to escape. Did two wrongs make a right? A better question, do four rights back a U-turn? Wait, when did she start thinking about driving? Back to the subject! "As someone who has seen death and doesn't wish for death on anyone, no, I cannot truthfully forgive what you've done. I know what you're doing is good and just but killing others makes you as bad as they are...maybe even worse." Just as suddenly a thought occurred to Eiko, etching a mischievous grin on her face. "Which is why I've decided...I want to help. I will not just sit idly by while people are being hurt, injured, or murdered. If I come I can help heal the wounded and lessen the murder rate. I could create barriers around the escapees or even blind others for a period of time. That's not to say you cannot use your powers, but if you do I can at least save lives that would otherwise be killed." |

*Hana turned into a wolf and walked past Kuro and Eiko holding her steak in her mouth.* Hana thinking: Hmmm..... there is those guys again. I wonder if they know where is safe place for us. Maybe then I won't be so lonely and people will stop trying to capture me. |

"Hmm.... I'll let you come, but you have to know that the world that Tenshi and I live in isn't as safe as you think," he said as he turned back to face her, "You'd have to be willing to put the life of others before your our, because that's what we do ever time we step back into that prison to free the Forsaken that aren't strong enough to save themselves. In our world you have to be able to have no regrets even if it means hurting another person or worse," he added as he walked closer to her. "In our world there is no turning back, there isn't any time outs, no three strikes and your out. If you mess up even once and get caught, then it's all over. They'll throw you in the cruelest cell imaginable, and you'll never see the light of day again," looking in her eyes he finished, "Do you still want to step across the line that divides your world and our world?" |

No turning back...Before today she believed everything she was told. What right from wrong was or who was good and bad. She had lived a life of blissful ignorance completely unaware of what lingered on the other side. And now that she knew what the other side was like, or how these people lived she didn't feel like going back. How could she continue to live knowing what was going on behind closed doors? The curtain was pulled from her eyes allowing the light of truth to shine through. And now she was desperately clinging to that truth not wanting to return to the darkness that once blinded her. She nodded, looking firm in her decision. There was no turning back. "Yes, I do." |
"Someone once told me that, 'Friendships come with meetings, partings and reunions.' But how could you truly part with someone if they're always there...in your heart?" |

"Alright then, Welcome to The Lost," Kuro said as he shook her hand, "I going to do my daily training, you can either come with or go back to the tavern." --------------------------------------------------- "Hey!" Tenshi said as said as Hana sat down. --------------------------------------------------- "Disgusting... all of them... why do they have powers when people like us can't?" asked a silver haired man, "My two favorite subjects ran away from me a little over a half a decade ago, but they still have the nerve to go against me?" he said as he got out of his velvet chair and walked towards the giant window in his office. Placing his hand on it he gritted his teeth, "Al, how much longer until I get them back? Isn't the bounty large enough yet?" asked the man. Al, a tall dark haired man with a fair complexion, bowed to the man in front of the window, "I'm sorry Mr. Kami sir, but even though the bounty is so high, all of the hunters got beaten to near death. Even if we use the nullifies, they still manage to overwhelm us with physical strength." "Hmm.... Is that so... they are still human though. On the next wanted posted, I want it to be read, use any force necessary, and kick up the bounty again," Mr. Kami said. "Yes sir," Al replied as he left the room. "Don't you think this is a bit much, Reigen-sama?" asked a red headed guy who looked like he was in his twenties. He had 4 studs in his ear. "Don't be foolish Zenshin... those two keep on letting my little birdies out of their cages. I'll use whatever means to get them back. Take out the alpha's and the pack goes into chaos," Reigen said as he began to laugh, "Some day I'll get them all back. Even if I have to start going after the Manifested as well," he finished as he took a sip of the wine in his glass and looked out the window. "Heh... I'm sure you will Reigen-sama," Zenshin followed up. 'You crazy bastard...' he though as he joined in with Reigen's laughter. |

"Thanks." she said, walking alongside Kuro. "I think I'll come with you. Might as well see how well I compare since we'll be working together. I may be a Manifested but, hey, I might surprise you. Who knows, I could learn another technique with time." |

Kuro laughed, "Yeah that could be true. Now then... where the hell should I train today..." Kuro said as he rubbed his chin, "Ah! I know, I'll see in Abe will let me use his farm so I can set up targets. I'm just gonna be doing basic training, such as: creation, infusion, and controlling," he said with a smirk. Abe is the name of the guy that has control over plants. He was mention in a earlier post when Tenshi and Kuro were in the market. |

All I really wanted was to be left alone. To be somewhere where nobody will bother me, or hurt me... or betray me. Yet... why the hell is it that no matter how hard I try I always end up in these god forsaken nests of people. I let out a sigh as I wandered the streets of this rural town and as I looked around I noticed more and more people with those studs on there ears, is that some kind of trend or something? Tch, how stupid, but... to think that society has recovered so quickly. After I had heard what had happened back then I was expecting chaos and anarchy... that would have been nice. They would all have just killed each other... then I woulden't have to do it myself. Ugh... I need something to eat. As I searched for a place to eat I walked past a guy with 5 studs on his ear as well as a girl walking next to him, I tried to hide my left arm that was being supported in a sling so I didn't attract more attention than I already was. |
