| I really get a kick out of this show's over-the-top cheesiness. Anyway, I couldn't resist posting after watching episode 4. I was impressed by the blunt commentary on American foreign policy via the backstory (America using terrorism as an excuse to invade Middle-Eastern countries and secure their oil) and the American commander (hiding behind the concept of justice and using it to take advantage of those with less power). I guess I like the fact that while the show doesn't really take itself seriously (even the characters are embarassed by the goofy things they have to say in order to use their attacks), but at the same time it does have its serious elements. |

| Makes me think that the anime producer thinks USA's government is evil which is disheartening. I'll just pretend they are just using what happened for a plot and just twisting it for entertainment value. >_> |

| Guess we hit episode 4 and now it's time for characters to start getting background stories. Clara's backstory was kind of funny. She was so serious about arresting every criminal at all cost, that they put her in the most corrupt police division, where she got every corrupt colleague arrested lol. Too bad I played Super Robot Wars so I know about the new "Dancouga". Glad to finally see it in the show, looking forward to the next episode. |
