fights ≠ story progress
I like them actions scenes too (DAT ANIMATION) but that's not what FZ about.

Also FT doesn't have fight after fight after fight but when the time comes and epic stuff happens it always delivers.

That pairing never made sense to me. Gil should go for Saber-Nero instead.

And Saber x Irisviel is one big reason why Saber is so much better here than in FSN.

This episode was quite emotional. Iri's death and transformation into the Holy Grail, Waver and Rider...

Man, I really want Rider to win this Holy Grail War.

If you watched f/sn you'd already know the outcome.

Naw...Kinpika and Saber Alter is the true pairing other than with Kirei.
Saber Nero and Gilgamesh together would make their egos multiply and destroy the universe.
As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all.

That is nothing to what he did before. When the war began, he hasn't slept for 70+ hours. He only took a 2 hour break on that part after the Grail dialogue, the part where he was eating a burger and assessing the situation of the war. He is using amphetamines to keep himself alert and awake and used self hypnosis to rest.

FFF. EnkiduxGilgamesh > All.

But I ship everything, so... Gil harem:

Just imagine Nero or whoever is taking the picture. Everyone happy.

Speaking of the episode, I feel there were crucial cuts in the Irisviel-Kirei scene to understand the mindset and anger from Kotomine. Kiritsugu was throwing away his wife's life as disposable which made him really really really ANGRY. Those who know his backstory of his wife committed suicide for him would understand of why. Below the cut is the novel scene:

Maybe they'll add the missing bits in blurays.

The anime already does a good job at getting the main point across with Kirei's actions and the modified dialogue. Kirei's characterization in the anime is directed in such a way that his expressions and his usage of particular dialogue expresses how he feels, but it's never directly said outright like in the novelization. It leaves it up to the viewer to interpret it.

Does this not place a burden that shortens one's life span itself. Seems like he dies xtimes faster like this.

Even if the grail was not

How do you expect
to stop bloodshed on earth other than either brainwashing humans into mindless drones without the psychological capability to compete? Or just outright killing anyone with hostile intentions?
Pretty much every choice leads to the destruction of humanity because bloodshed on earth cannot be erased by any other method.

I'm pretty sure those 3 command spells waver used on him gave him a ton of prana to use.
Gordius wheel won't make much of a difference when Gil's got his waifu weapon.

As Blood Requiem says, the end of all conflict is just a childish dream that really doesn't have that many "good" ways to happen (and even the good ways might seem like turning people into mindless drones in the end). It reminds me of the premise behind Death Note.

His dream is impossible. It's pure, but it's childish because it can't happen. At all. It would lead to mandkind's extinction, directly or indirectly. Kiritsugu is as 'good' as Light Yagami. He doesn't realize he's a megalomaniac entitled person who thinks he can choose for all humanity what's right and wrong.

Any sensible adult knows this. Kiritsugu is unable to emotionally mature because he has an unhealthy attachment to his dream. It's probably due to his post traumatic stress and guilt of his childhood backstory trauma.

Likewise, Saber's wish is as dangerous as Kiritsugu's. They are two stupidly idealistic who can't realize of the consequences for now.

If you want to see who in Fate/Zero seems to have a selfless harmless wish? Look no further, it's Team Caster.
