THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- dang nice action for AGE-3 im sure Asemu is still alive and have a new mobile suit made by Mukred Madorna (or his son) Asemu is like a super pilot (not x-rounder) like Woolf was so working/staying with Mukred fits him well and the opening video song shows a black skulled mobile suit too that maybe the new mobile suit of Asemu, those black skulled flag group might be the neutral side of this war after reading a lot of comments from Gundam fans, it looks like Gundam AGE is a SPIN-OFF of the whole Gundam Universal Century, COOL!!! youtube comment 1: I see what sunrise did there.. Age1= Rx-78-2, Age2= Zeta Gundam, Age3= ZZ Gundam XD youtube comment 2: in crossbone gundam. the lead loli is sent out to die by her genetic father (she's a test tube) who's out to get fucking even with earth no matter what. tobia, who just slapped out a bitch who tried to convince him that newtypes are the only thing necessary for the future, engaged the giant autopiloted mobile armor with the loli inside with the X-3. also the martians in AGE is literally the jovans in crossbone. fuck yes, this is the best kids show since magical ponies youtube comment 3: gundam AGE just did almost the entire conflict of Crossbone w/o touching pirates. too dark my ass lol at the youtube comment 3 since generation 3 will have pirates (skull group of neutral side Asemu) P.S. you can use a proxy to watch it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C8SFdWUImk |

Action was good, especially the background music. Plot is poorly scripted as always, Asemu will probably be 'back from the dead' at tome point of the anime where Flit's death will be imminent (three mains simultaneously would be hard to implement). Also, there was a purge at the end of gen2 and there are still bazillion Vagan mecha on Earth. Bitch, please. Seems like Federation is governed by mentally challenged pacifists. Timeskips are business as usual in this anime. No need to comment about 2 of those in the first five minutes. gen2 -> gen3 (Kio's birth)-> Kio grown up Overall, still quite surprised with this ep, mostly because of action sequences. A solid entry into the last arc. 7/10 |

lol while reading more youtube comments someone said Kio is a Super X-Rounder since Flit is an X-Rounder and Asemu is a Super Pilot, the genes are evolving too XD and just look at how Kio senses/detected the presence of the Vagan it was so far away, worthy of the title Super X-Rounder |

That was pretty satisfying. And that new OP, damn... I wasn't expecting the manga pirates to show up but that's awesome. And I guess the Vagans are gonna get a Gundam, too. |

Well kinda expected kio to be both an X Rounder and a Super Pilot since normally they save the best for last(And they really did it seems because the animation looks slightly different and the tone have a much more serious feel to it). Also the OP and ED of the 3rd arc is superbly better than the first two. AGE-3 also looks freaking awesome. The feel i get from the 3rd arc is really different compared to the first two, is anyone else feeling that? or is it just me. Anyways a really good start for the arc, hope it continues to impress me |

The AGE 3 seems to big and in a way slower than the previous two but more powerful. And to bulky. Great way to start off the 3rd arc. It reminded me of Victory Gundam's intro with the attacking the city and the kids. it was kinda sad to Asem in the beginning. If the rumors are true, he took a page out of one piece and left his family to become a pirate. So the Vegans took out Big Ring in less than a minute when it took them almost 3 episodes last season. The highest body count in a single episode for this series. Good to see Flit still badass even if he's hitting 70. He was supposed to grow old with Yurin, damn it.I just wonder why, the Vice Admiral, the man who unconvered a conspiracy (which wasn't even explained correctly) and won many battles been reduced to wearing a jump suit. And what the hell is that on his hair? Excellent work on Kakashi for his voice work. Speaking of old folks, wouldn't it be awesome if Vargas was still alive? |

Pretty epic start to the new gen. Kio has the worst design of the three mains (1. Asemu 2. Flit then 3. Kio), but has some nice potential for action unfair that he is an X-rounder but Asemu wasnt :/ cant believe Big Ring was destroyed so swiftly after we defended it so intensely last season. Zehearto returned so I can only pray that Asemu isnt dead or something but out there with some new comparable in strength custom powerful mobile suit? Diva looked cool but could undergo some changes and am surprised Millias is still captain commander? What was that shillouette of a gundam in the OP with the odd take on a pirate flag? looked cool |

The black Gundam will be piloted by Asemu.. Its just a guess though, but I doubt Asemu really died. He probably realized how"evil" the Eath Federation is after the revelation through his dad last episodes, so he is joining the pirates. ITS A GIANT ENEMY FORTRESS! WHAT ITS ALLIANCE?! ITS TO 90 % A VAGAN FORTRESS!!!! Uhm yeah, and whats the last 10 %? Innovators? Aliens? JOVIAN LIARDS?! Srsly, best scene in the whole episode. Oh yeah, and Zeheart getting a new lov interest. I like it, AGE-3 is a little bit to clumsy, but ith has a core fighter. A CORE FIGHTER! Nice to see one with exchangeble frames after Impulse. |

Hi everyone this is my first comment here! :) I've been watching this show since the start but until now I didn't feel like writing. Abaut the 3rd gen: The new Gundam looks awsome but Kio looks like a girl. The new heroine seems to be better than Emily and Romary. Abaut that pirate Gundam.... I hope it's not Asemu who controlls it. It would be lame, in more than one ways. Just think, at the end of the 2nd gen he had just made up his mind, that he would fight to protect his family and stuff.... and now he abandons everything, even his newborn son, to became a pirate.... |

The Federation's defense system was as crappy as ever. Epic FAIL on Federation's part. After all these years you would think they learned. Also, if I were the Vagan, I'd be glad to shoot the G-core down before it can dock. It's not like it was protected by an escort or anything... And the time window was quite long. I mean, Fliter just had to explain everything to his grandson right in the midst of the battle right? I also like how the Vegan line of fire forms the amazing ultimate cone of plot-armor. Again, it's probably because Flitler didn't become the president. Otherwise those Vagans would have been long wiped out. Also, the new toy advertisement was too obvious lol. I thought it was a Combiner (Transformers) transforming at one point. Flitler even had to reiterate himself that the Gundam was NOT transforming, but "docking". It's not like the Impulse Gundam wasn't pretty much the same thing but I found it hilarious Flitler had to emphasize on that point. Tsundere version of the episode: "It-it's not like it's a transformer or anything..." Otherwise, typical episode. Good OP/ Very good ED. Kio so far didn't get any character depth yet, but I have the impression I'll like him more than Flitler or Asemu. However, the renegade Asemu will be more interesting as characters. Darth Vader reference? |

-Kio looks waaay to much like his mother. Looks like a girl.... -At first I assumed Asemu was dead, but after hearing that he went missing, I think he decided to side up with the vagan (either that or the mu la flaga theory above). There's this from the op.... ![]() from the part where they show the vagan suits. This one looks suspiciously like a gundam (it has "horns" , plus it has 2 eyes unlike the eyes of the vagan suits) -Age 3 is Gundam ZZ (armor looks similar), Impulse (many modes), Virtue (that rifle), and Seravee (you can see it the OP) combined. Pretty epic, plus if I were to pilot a gundam from this series AGE3 would be it because I love my long range fighters. -loved the GENESIS sound effect when the rifle was first used :) |

@wakka You are forgetting 79/Victory. They also had docking. And it was done pretty much the same. Enemies almost never interrupt them, unless it's a plot device. Well, the start was great. If they play their cards right, this will get a lot better than the first two arcs. But, they can ruin it if they use them wrong. I just hope Asemu's not brainwashed or something. It'll be cool if they make him into Char aka "punish humans by dropping an asteroid", but he lacks the motives and just "I'm fed up with this world" is not enough. Let's hope for the best. Comparing the protagonists in their first episodes, Kio is IMO the best one. But oh well, Flit and Asemu never a grandpa who would train them to become Men of Destiny while still infant :< |

ZetaZaku said: @wakka You are forgetting 79/Victory. They also had docking. And it was done pretty much the same. Enemies almost never interrupt them, unless it's a plot device. Yup. But I still found it hilarious that Flitler had to specifically mention it for the viewers. Also, we're in 2012, please put at least some effort into avoiding the situation where the plot armor has to be used so obviously. Seriously, I'm just pissed that nearly no effort was put into this. Occasional plot armor is ok if you disguise it by at least some feasible explanation. It's like Jormungand last episode. Jonah running against the sub-machine gun wielded by a veteran mercenary... and doesn't get shot. It's just really laziness to attempt to fix some serious logical issues at that point. |

actually, the enemy did try to interrupt their docking.. Flit had to use some smoke bombs to distract the enemy's shooting.. Flit must've realized that Kio is an X-Rounder probably even at an early age.. went ahead to train him using a video game.. and using MuvLuv's assumptions, a mecha video game addict practically becomes the best in real battle situations.. plus Kio's a Super X-Rounder and Grandpa Flit is at the back giving support and lectures.. but enough of their sides.. i want to learn of the pirates with that Skullhead MS and that Gundam in the Vagan's side.. which is undead Asemu's mobile suit? |

Kio looks way too gay. I'm guessing the plot will give him the best piloting skills of the three. Kio's girl seems nice but then again so did Rosary at the start. Also looks like Flit's Vagan purge failed big time lol. |

Bwahaha. To think Age could no longer keep its tenuous grasp on seriousness any longer. If I wasn't rolling my eyes I was laughing at the shows complete departure from sensibility. It almost feels like it's being written by kids now. I've got to say if Asemu doesn't turn out to be the pirate Gundam's pilot I think I might actually be impressed. Huh. This is, by far, the best episode AGE has managed in a long, long time. That said? Can someone explain why they thought it'd be a good idea to make Asemu, the normal person in the Asuno family line, the one fuck up? That's the thing that stood out to me more than anything as I watched this episode. Kio gets the AGE-3 from the jump. His grandfather has, apparently, been there for him quite often. Flit taught him how to pilot through a fun little video game, while he the only thing he told Asemu was "Don't suck." or "Stop sucking." Flit even bothers to pilot the Gundam WITH Kio on his first outing. I'd be fine with letting it all go and saying grandparents are nicer to their grandkids than their children, except Kio's pretty plainly an X-Rounder. And, if this episode was any indication (detecting people that are IN SPACE), he's the most powerful one yet. It just kind of feels like an Unfortunate Implications deal. What are we saying? That geniuses deserve special treatment and normal people don't because they're just going to fuck up anyway? |

Damn earth Federation must be the most incompetent organization ever. They know they have a threat and that the enemy is out there and yet they do nothing to increase their defenses or attack back and just sit there letting more than 2 decades pass expecting Vagan's to come and rape them up the ass. And imagine if they haven't purged the government. The whole planets was full with hidden Vagans. Wtf? So what was the point of removing that guy if the new ones did nothing but sit one their ass and make life easy for Vagan to invade? Also we have Vagan's that made no fucking sense for years and years. What the hell is this earth dream they are talking about? If their dream was to leave on earth why the hell didn't they just reveal themselves as refugees coming back instead of starting a war? And why the hell to they land in cities and just shoot normal citizens and buildings. This fucking idiots don't even know what the hell they are doing at all. wakka9ca said: argilium said: actually, the enemy did try to interrupt their docking.. Almost every Gundam series if full of bulllshit like that where the enemies give them too much comfort. Hey by at least shooting a few rounds and making him throw smock screen they made more that any other series did. Just ake it in good faith that they weren't very noticed and not in the center of the activity the moment they started the procedure. Hell i was actually surprised that this time the kid had an excuse for being able to pilot a big mecha suit. I am not certain, but is this the first time our usual teenagers actually has an excuse for jumping first time in a Gundam and actually being able to handle it? |

@Monad Didn't Earth abandon their own people during Mars colonization? The Vegans hate the Earthlings so it's obvious why they are killing everyone. It's not just "hurr we are superior race", they do have motives. And they probably haven't fought with Earth for a while (20 years?) so they got a bit careless and didn't guard well during a holiday, and most officers were on vacation because of it. It wasn't executed well, but they did say something like "Damn, stupid Day of Courage" The thing with Vegans living on Earth and preparing for attack was bad. Having Vegans on Earth is one thing, as they are humans and nobody would notice. But how the heck did they smuggle their Mobile Suits. That's the only bad thing about the whole invasion. |

G-Gundam is a good show. It's a super robot show, so the over-the-top stuff is actually a necessity, and G-Gundam executed it well too. Not to mention all the GAR and badass characters. Looks like the X-Rounder gene only skipped on Asemu since he's son got it. I wonder if he'll make an appearance again, they only said to he's been missing and not dead after Kio was born. Talking about genes, the Asuno mothers seem to have the dominant gene when it comes to the hair color since all the children have the same hair color as their mothers. That's Ezelcant? After all the buildup of mystery of him on the last two generations I find him rather underwhelming, he's wife/partner-whatever was more interesting and perhaps more mysterious since she was just introduced. |
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is, Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy. |

Emiya said: j0x said: lol while reading more youtube comments someone said Kio is a Super X-Rounder since Flit is an X-Rounder and Asemu is a Super Pilot, the genes are evolving too XD and just look at how Kio senses/detected the presence of the Vagan it was so far away, worthy of the title Super X-Rounder Never thought a Youtube comment of mine would be quoted, let alone on another website of all places. Small world. Anyway, on some type of trading cards they released before this episode which featured Kio and Flit, the information about them on it was what stated that. lol your comment is easy to find since its on the top and i see, so it was officially stated on those trading cards that Kio is a super ex-rounder |

I wonder who the purple-haired girl beside Zeheart in the opening? Hmmm, seems I've started to feel the signs of Romeo and Juliet in this arc. |

No, I wasn't able to get this month's present. =[ Flit Asuno is now a boss grandpa. I'm glad that Kio is an X-rounder though; Asemu was such a loser. |
