I knew she was taller than Niiya, but that's a lot taller. This chapter's art seemed different from usual. |
| Didn't pick up on the plot like i thought it would but still a good chapter Yuuko's face when she realized that Niiya found out her weight anyway was lol XD I don't know why since its been a obvious possibility from the get go; but this chapter reminded me of how likely a bitter ending is...well the manga still has a ways to go, so i guess we will see. |

| It was nice chapter but I really wonder how its going to end. I mean she is a ghost after all its not like she can come back to life and with Niiya getting all flustered and stuff whenever his with Yuuko. Well I look forward to the next chapter, hopefully it has something to do with the plot. |
| Story didn't progress much but man this chapter was soooo cute with Yuuko. 'SIF Niiya's shoter than Yuuko by that much. Never really noticed the height differences. Yuuko's facial expressions never get old, so god damn cute. xD This was a nice calm 'filler' type chapter I guess. | yuuko can be so gd adorable... I agree sometimes changes like this are needed in the story. Art was amazing, more detailed and characters look slightly more like the anime (little less elongated and bigger eyes). |

In that case she would have been 2 years older than Teiichi when she died. (And guys have a last growth spurt in their late teens that girls don't, so he will catch up and likely pass her.) |
| ^ Yuuko would be 3 years older since she's 15 and Niiya is 12 apparently. I still can't get past the fact that Niiya is 12. Seriously he looks like at least 15/16. |

| No plot but it was at least interesting, but somehow this feels like something that would be an the anime not on the manga. But I was interested about "the flow of time" on the last page or so, if there is a meaning to this, I wonder how they are going to end? |

| Oh, Momoe. How detached from reality can you get at times. Kirie refused to have her chest measurements taken, eh? Teiichi's age took me by surprise. I thought he was at least 13/14, as a freshman middle schooler. Yuuko being awesome as always. This chapter did not continue from last chapter's conflict, but at least we have some canon numbers now for the characters. Well, it's not vital to the plot, but still nice little tidbits of canon info. 168 cm height - Yuuko 156.5 cm height - Kirie 153.2 cm height - Teiichi 500 g weight - Yuuko ...Yuuko, you're not Hitagi. 56.2 kg weight - Yuuko 43.5 kg weight - Kirie 42.8 kg weight - Teiichi Looks like any confrontation over the fate of the old school building has to wait until the next chapter (hopefully). Also liked that short 2-page panel about the anime's seiyuu in the beginning. Not drawn by Maybe, but still interesting. |
| I'm now wondering if this was a special chapter. I just received the May issue of Gangan Joker (released April 21) and the chapter in it is called #33. When I went back and looked more carefully at the chapter in the April issue, which is the Measuring story that is being discussed here, there is no numbering on it, nor a typical title page. So this chapter may be something similar to the Shower story and not a regular chapter. The Chapter 33 in the May issue is called, "The Seventh of the Seven Mysteries", and is about Teiichi going to Kirie's house and asking her grandmother about Yuuko. |

According to the Wikipedia [1] junior high school in Japan covers the ages 13-15. Yuuko also mentions that she is/was a third year at junior high so Teichi being 13 sounds more likely to me (1st year = 13, 2nd year = 14, 3rd year = 15). Even if we assume that Teichi is 13 years old I find it quite ballsy that the Mangaka has many rather explicit scenes. It's not like anybody would mistake the breast groping and nudity scenes as motherly affection :-P Now I don't have problems with this as I know that the age when puberty starts has been constantly decreasing in industrialized countries for the last couple of decades (including down to 10 and even below), but I just find it surprising that a manga would incorporate such realities. I also have doubts about this chapter being a direct continuation of chapter 32. After all, at the end of 32 Kirie's grandmother limited the access to the old school building and I doubt that the characters would be this laid-back facing not only the imminent destruction of their club room but also possibly Yuuko's end. | So... question... Who else thinks Yuuko is not 'Kanoe Yuuko'? The main clue that is reinforcing this right now is that I realized upon seeing episode 7 of the anime and it's preview. "Yuuko"[Shadow] pushed down Teiichi, and he broke his leg. readjusting this sentence: Yuuko pushed down Yukariko, and broke her leg. Yuuko[Ghost] claims that she isn't "Yuuko"[Shadow], then who is Yuuko[Ghost]? The fact that after falling, the main injury Teiichi suffers is a broken leg... Shadow Yuuko could be acting on Ghost Yuuko's recollection of what happened the day she died... her sister Yuuko pushing her down to take her name and save herself... In ghost stories, ghosts tend to try and kill others in the way they themselves died. Stories vary but this is the general idea for what we're working with I believe. The darkness that is Yuuko's shadow probably was hinting at what happened. I doubt Teiichi or Kirie would be willing to consider someone would sacrifice their own sister, Kirie more-so because it's her own flesh and blood. |

| I was thinking the mangaka might have given Teiichi that age so he can be with Yuuko at least 3 more years, right ? I can only hope... ;_; Although it does feel like a special chapter, it's still bittersweet. Yuuko realizes that while Teiichi will grow up, she'll never change. |

| The "yukari" in Yukariko means purple 'cause her eyes are purple and "ko" means child like in Yuuko's name. I expected to learn more about Yuuko from her sister but damn, she only told us that there never was a seventh mystery. I think one of the six we know isn't true and we have yet to find out which one is missing. I started to doubt the ghost in the old school building mystery, what if Yuuko isn't a ghost but something else and that could be what Yukariko is hiding from us. Did Yuuko actually look at Shadow Yuuko at the end of this chapter? |

| Wait a minute. Doesn't this take place in a high school? What the hell, this is middle school. Bullshit. I refuse to believe. Teiichi is in the equivalent of 7th grade. And Yuuko was in 9th grade when she died. Interesting, this should have taken place in a high school. |

Interesting, this should have taken place in a high school. its been said before, the place is like an academy or some word i forgot that u call these places: basically Kirie said before that the school is both middle school and high school, during the 6 year Sakura Arc commenting on the 2 lesbian students/ saying why are they worried they would be separated after graduating the school also has highschool section. it has been known that Teiichi was in middle school, and that he was in first year, so yea that = 7th grade so age 12 matches. |
