| According to Comic Natalie, the new anime of Rurouni Kenshin is a two-episode OVA. The first episode will be shown at theaters in December. The title is "Shin Kyoto Hen (New Kyoto Chapter)" and it'll be a large-scale remake of the battle against Shishio from Misao's point of view. | I'm pretty damned disappointed by this. I suppose seeing the Jinchu arc animated is too much to ask for. Heaven forbid that the Kenshin anime gets proper closure by seeing the true series finale animated. I still may check the OVAs out since I never saw the anime but read/bought the manga instead. That's a big maybe, that key illustration isn't doing it for me. At least there's still Persona 4: The Animation to look forward to this fall... |

| Saito's new seiyu is cool, otherwise, nothing exciting. I thought it'd be great news (now everything was announced, but a oneshot manga or something! now THAT would be awesome), but the picture... Uhh... What the heck is that shiny-fluffy atmosphere, gosh, it's not an otome game! Plus it's too CG-ish... I can't understand why it's so difficult to produce the manga's style... EDIT: Just realized that Studio Deen made the latter part of the series (i.e. which is possibly one of the worst filler season that was ever made, with badly written script, even worse graphics, and only the openings and endings were worth watching; plus it had no real ending >__>). No wonder they came up with these ovas >__> EDIT2: Wait... SO NO JINCHUU-ARC?? THIS is the new anime, and that's it? .... Great. Just great... Way to make fans mad >__> |
