THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

I thought it was cool to see a real artisan in this episode. A little bit of live action mixed in was different but nice.

Nearly 100 dollars for a glass isn't a lot of money? They act like it was cheap. I guess the economy in Japan is a lot better then it is here in America

Certainly different and a more educational episode. Still had some funny moments though.

Usami's "So this is 'reality,' isn't it" makes me laugh every freaking time, and I'm not sure why. Also, Ryuuzo-san is so moé.

Artisans during the day, assassins at night :3

Side-note: I hope this goes for the full 24 eps.

I think this series having only 4 minute runtime works for its disadvantage, they need simple and straightforward punchlines to make this work. I really liked couple of episodes and had few giggles here and there, but it's not possible to try many different jokes to hit home with this runtime. So the most common reaction for an episode, to me, is vast indifference.

I would guess the manga is much more hilarious, but I wouldn't know.

Nope. In fact Japan is the country with the highest depts on the planet. I wonder how long one person needs to craft one of those glasses..if its like he can only make one or two a day then its pretty cheap indeed.

Sure is alot of 3D in my anime.
The fact that the artisan is sitting there doing next to nothing is somewhat funny.

Interesting episode. Informative, to say the least. Don't think I'd buy that glass though lol. Still kinda funny. The artisan was just sitting there for most of it ... he didn't even talk! Lol :P
Oh a side note, I still don't know any of the characters' names lol X_X

I should totally hate this episode, but it's actually the first one I re-watched.

The idea of showing real-life traditional craft was somewhat interesting and the glasses were really neat. Too bad they're too expensive for me (for now ^^).
