Imo, the anime was horrible and the manga was just as bad. Bland and generic. This isn't bad news for me.

The art was one of the main reasons I wanted to follow it. Shame to hear that Peko quit.

Although PPD art looks pretty neat-o.

It wasn't amazing but certainly enjoyable since it didn't over do ecchiness.

It was a pain to finish the anime once I started it, and from what I've heard, the manga wasn't that much better either. A pity for the fans, but not much loss in general.

Been wondering what happened to the manga. And it's only coz of Yabuki's art that it's readable.
Oh well, at least Yabuki can focus on TLR Darkness now.

so whose going to take over this project since both authors have simply "quit" it anyway and it has to be someone who knows what they should be doing with the storyline along with the art as well.

Sad to hear. Less of Yabuki's art out there is always a bad thing, since he's easily one of the best artists in the industry atm.

Frankly this is the best thing ive heard all day. Not to mention It doesnt even compare to Black Cat. I sometimes wonder why they even made the anime addaption. At least now we can hope he will sit down and think twice before drawing something like MNO again.

I'm afraid to see what the artwork will look like for the Light Novels going forward.

Generic Response: To Love Darkness will now get all the attention it fully deserves.

This makes me a bit sad. I guess working on TLR:D and Mayoi Neko was too much work for Yabuki.

Well, hopefully he will focus working on his super interesting manga now.

Anime was just mediocre but manga isn't that bad. You get what you expect. At least it was much better than TLR. Too bad it's one title less with Yabuki's art.

This. The only reason why i was ever interested in MNO to begin with was the art. Shame for the fans, but I don't think it's too much of a loss.

There are better ecchi/romcom series out there and this topic has made me want to start To Love Ru Darkness.

Nothing of value was lost, and without this a few artists will have a lot of value to gain.

Do it. Darkness sticks a giant middle finger in the face of Ishihara.
It actually has plot as opposed to the first series and it's much better now that it has nipples and he gets around the censors with "soap", tongues, tentacles, etc.
There's even a shadow penis.

This is GOOD news if you ask me....

Mayoi blah blah blah, was one of the few anime I absolutely couldn't stand....

I dropped the anime after only 3 episodes and I'm 99% sure the LN/manga was just as horrible.

GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE!!!

That's pretty weird since as far as I remember, the manga was selling really well. Only in its first week volume one sold over 91,000 copies if I remember correctly.

From what I've heard the anime sucked, so I don't feel any remorse over this.
Unless the manga is far more superior towards the anime, then I might.

As soon as I heard about this on Twitter I almost cried. People bash this series quite a bit. It isn't intensely flashy or H, true, but I found it very enjoyable. I own three of the manga books (1, 2, and a "cat can" special), and the second light novel. I enjoyed the anime very much, in a way its randomness reminded me of the styling of KoreZon, for example. There's plenty of H and seriousness elsewhere in the anime/manga world. I do regret the rather hurried close of the anime though.

I suppose it makes sense that the manga artist is focusing on To-LOVEru Darkness, since To-LOVEru has been around for a long time.

I'm curious how it will end up.

Darkness is amazing, and probably the best ecchi manga I have read. It just goes so far while keeping a good story so it doesn't just feel like smut either. And the artwork is just beautiful, probably the best I've seen
