I think Akagi may have been born just to kill Washizu.

Finally watching this again. Not a good place to start ... an episode pretty much going into the strategy for winning last hand which I barely remember. Have a new understanding of mahjong now so I understand a bit more, but still ...
So let me guess ... he'll win third round, and Akagi will com back in the last one? Hmm ...

If he wins the third round, Akagi is dead there and then.

Anyway, some of those explanations would have been better if they hadn't been made.
There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.

The episode might have been slow, but at least everything was explained and the thought process was laid out.

On the other hand, the second half was quite boring to watch, it was pretty much just loafing around.

Well, at least it's not a normal recap but it's still pretty much just a recap episode of the 2nd round...

The bad guys in this show just won't stop while they're behind. This is like the opposite of Kaiji.

Akagi admitted that he was cornered and was horrifyingly close to losing if it weren't for his psychological exploitation by not getting a blood transfusion that actually worked on Washizu.

The old man just lost two rounds and 1/5 of his dwindling fortune and he still wanted to carry on with his idea of all or broke. Washizu's men should start looking for really cheap apartments and start stockpiling instant ramen because once the night ends. he'll be getting out of the country empty-handed.

Most of the explanation went over my head. But was not too bad.

Behold of my awesomeness~
controversial and/or sensitive topics likely devolve into the same repetitive, derogatory, abusive, and harassing comments can no longer be posted.
But my feels.

okay so Akagi has withdrawal of 1900 cc. of blood and only 100 cc. left to be fatal... i hope it doesn't ends up predictable with Akagi winning before loosing those last100 cc but the main character can't die right? :/ that would diminish the score down to a 8/10

Yes, it was technically a recap episode, just with original animation. I did like the parts where Akagi explains his psychological process, but this always me more interesting if things are explained when things are happening, if we see this arc as a prototype for what would be done in Kaiji, we can see what Kaiji does to improve everything Akagi laid out.
