| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- That was a really good first chapter! My expectations of this manga have been really high, and it didn't disappoint me. Luca's ability to shape metals was especially interesting. I hope it doesn't end up as just another battle manga in the long run, though. |
| Seems pretty interesting ^^. I think if we're lucky we'll soon figure out what he needs to accomplish to become a (what was it called again?). So long it does not seem to become a big battle manga, but there will undoubtedly be some fights. Will this be released weekly or monthly? I guess the first chapter was on 50 pages just cause it was for the golden cup, and it will from now on be on 19 pages etc every week. I do at least hope so. I dislike monthly releases :P |
| Yeah, monthly series can be a pain.:P Luckily, this is weekly since it's running in WSJ. Right now it looks like it'll a bit like FMA concerning battles; they are there, but it's not a full blown battle manga. It was kinda vague about what's needed to become a Minea. I'm thinking an exam or a test, like find that metal or something along those lines. |
| First time i read this manga it reminded me of one piece: "Im the man who'll become a minea and im the man who'll become the pirate king ...." one piece x metallic similarity. it might be better if this manga talks more about nakamas though. |

| Heh.... It reminded me of Dragon Quest... Especially from the kid's hairstyle and special abilities... But the monsters are more modern... not like in toriko or dragonquest/dragonball. |

| Looks like a fun adventure. This should be a fun ride assuming the manga goes into more focus on Lucas' character and what he encounters through growth and development. |
