| Gangryong's response to Guhoo's heartfelt story about him and Shinra fighting for their families is one of the best reactions I've ever seen in a shounen manga. Goddamn does Veritas rock hard; the last 4-5 chapter have all been fantastic. I'm strongly considering raising Veritas's score to a 9/10, something I only do for legitimately great works. |

I really liked how Gangryong did such unusual thing (for shonen manga, at least) when he said that he only fights for himself, and never to protect someone, which is almost always the only excuse shonen protagonists like Ichigo, Naruto, Luffy, and what I know who else have when they're trying to become stronger. It kinda makes him a little anti-herotypical. When he started talking about his sister, I feared he would say "I too am fighting to protect someone" for a second. But luckily Veritas isn't that cliche. I hope Hyunmi will join the nine dragons. I kinda like her :O |

| Gangryong's reasoning is something you'd expect from your villain, not your "hero." And you still find yourself cheering him on. Yes, definitely not your typical shonen manga. |
