thanks for the reply, that was exactly what i was looking for. I plan on watching the rest of the series, finished bakemonogatari this morning and I really enjoyed it.

i rank Love Lab as on-par comedy-wise with YuruYuri but it has the added bonus of having the cast come together naturally and boys intervening. the comedic timing is perfect, the animation is beautiful - occasionally surpassing any other comedy series with special mention to Riko's hair - and the cast is very likeable and distinct.

the show has very little flaws that i can identify and it'll certainly stay 9/10.

Slice of life is actually one of my favourite genres, but I use that term in a different sense from most people I think - for example, I consider Clannad to be drama/romance/comedy rather than slice of life because it's just not "ordinary" enough for me to consider it a slice of life. I would try and recommend you something, but you've seen so little I don't really know what you would like.
