The Betrayal Knows My Name
| Hoshi Souichirou has done some really awesome voices. One of the things I like about him as a VA is his diversity. But his voice for Yuki was the worst possible they could have chosen, IMO. The only kind of character this kind of voice would fit is some cute, cheeky and slightly annoying kid. A 12 year old Shonen lead, perhaps. For Yuki, it's just plain annoying. It's like he's putting on a 'talking to little kids/trying to sound cute and failing' voice all the time. Or like he has a permanent cold. I wouldn't have picked it for Yuki at all, and if I drop this anime, it'll probably be because of his voice. I'm just trying to watch it and imagine he sounds different ;n;. I just can't take this voice seriously at all. I'm really disappointed, because I was looking forward to the anime adaption a lot. It's even more disappointing, because everyone else has such perfect voices D; Does Yuki's voice bug anyone else to the same degree, or am I just too picky? |

| i would say he sounds a bit like a female which i think i dont like when people try to make out of males females leave us be what we are a guy can have a nice voice in some way but not too girly likea guy has to be a guy thats my meaning you dont make females to guys so the same way should it be the opposite too its no offense its just my meaning but leaving that aside its an interesting anime also i know yuki was a female in her previous life but still yuki is a guy now right |

| I don't mind it. I think it's a typical Hoshi voice. Yeah, he can do better ones, but imho he's kind of suited for Yuki. It's true that when I first read that Yuki will be voiced by Hoshi, I was kind of horrified, but now when I heard it I don't mind it anymore. |

The same here. annoying at first but now i dont mind at all. and well, the only bad thing about Hoshi is that he makes always the same type of voices, so, at first i thought i was listening Kira from Gundam Seed. anyway, im not watching it for his voice. did u noticed, that this anime has probably the most popular voice actors ever? jun fukuyama, mamoru miyano, ono daisuke, sakurai takahiro, Akira ishida... who cares about hoshi?:P |

| its not that i have really something against it often male oice actors of an anime character are female i know that maybe thats why of course well i would say i have a nice voice which im glad i have one but its not girly i think at least the voice is ok but do you girls really want more girly sound voices for males thats my questions most guys have more manly voice or am i wrong |

And some other favs of mine are there like Shinichiro Miki and Hiroshi Kamiya, so I really don't care about Hoshi. But the story is what's important, I guess not even my fav seiyuus would help, if I didn't enjoy the story. Which I do so far. And I think that Kira has a better sounding voice than Yuki... |

Shinichiro Miki is also awesome there, love him^.^ and the soundtrack\art is really cool too (at least i like it). He may not be suited, but well, it could be worst. Maybe Mamoru could make a more "girly" voice, but im sorry to disappoint you, Mamoru usually is chosen to voice manly characters even with his soft voice he is perfect for manly or funny characters (Tamaki from ouran, Zero from Vampire knight). and well, ive seen so many people complaining about Yuki´s voice...it probably it would be better if Yukana, (the one who voices Yuki girl) could also make the male yuki voice, but i doubt she could do it well, because she isnt like a Maya Sakamoto, (who can make a boy and girl voice perfectly). |

| Male-Yuki voice doesn't bother me, he is only 15 so I think it suits but I can't stand female-Yuki voice. It's beyond annoying. |

| I find Yuki's voice rather annoying at most times. I'm trying not to mind it just like what others had said here. This show casts most of the great seiyuus and so a lot of my favorites are here. It's a shame no decent sub groups are picking this up. This show is really great except for the story being cliche, but it's not only for that reason to drop it. The quality of the art is superb, and not like the any low budget shoujo graphics. Animation is great. Voices are generally awesome. Sound tracks and effects are great also. It's obvious that they spent a lot for this show. |

After a couple of episodes it doesn't sound so strange anymore. I can't even remember he is Hoshi at times, and this is a positive aspect in my opinion. I think he does a great job. I read some reviews about this anime where people only complain about the story beeing just full of cliche. For me i don't mind it beeing full of cliches. Like Lieila said the art is just really good,the soundtracks are beautifull and the Voices fit just perfectly. And for the Topic :D i don't mind Yukis voice. I would rather say i like it. |
| After 13 episodes, I still can't get used to it. Freakkin' annoying. >_< But it's a good show, so I don't mind it that much. |

| you're right, yuki voice actor got tiny annoying.. but <3<3 he did a great job with senri shiki in vampire knight :) |
