Well, I've wrote this many times in School Days videos, but I guess I'll explain it again. If one actually played through all or at least most of the paths in the original School Days PC game, he would realize a few points: - Kotonoha solves her relationship problems by murdering Sekai or being in eternal denial - Sekai, while also in denial, is a more sympathetic version of denial. - After realizing that it's not possible between her and Makoto, she would cry by herself in her room in at least 70% of the paths. - Sekai never murdered anyone in the original game, aside from Makoto, and she only did that after he impregnated her and called her a cum-slut while fucking Kotonoha (though it was because he was pretending to hate her for Kotonoha's sake, which shows how much more of a bitch the latter is). - Sekai is a normal girl. Kotonoha is a stalker, bullied from young for obvious reasons (she's an annoying emo). - But yes, Sekai is flawed, too. But that's the difference - most of the time, she struggles against her flaws to do the right thing. The 'right thing' in Kotonoha's mind, however, is to do whatever it takes to get Makoto to fall in love with her, even if it means letting him have sex with him in whatever kinky ways he wants. 'Nuff said. Superstar! =P Though having said that, neither of the primary heroines are the ideal choice in my opinion. I've played through most of the routes and all of the sub heroine ones. My order: Setsuna=Otome > Sekai >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Kotonoha Yeah I never liked Kotonoha from the start in all honesty. If she hadn't been borderline androphobic for the first half of the anime, Makoto would have not been so easily tempted to stray. He could barely hold her hand without her freaking out. I know if I was his age and that happened to me, I don't think I'd stick around either. Especially not with the obvious fact that Sekai liked him as well. The chemistry between those two was FAR more natural and their relationship actually had depth. The basis for Kotonoha and Makoto's relationship...they saw each other on the train and were attracted to each other superficially. At least with Sekai there was a friendship there and you could see how well they interacted even before they were a couple. Makoto certainly looked like he was much more himself when he was with Sekai. Of course that's purely my opinion. I know alot of Kotonoha fans rate her over Sekai simply because she has big boobs and is shy. Personally external features should not be the deciding factor of a relationship of any sort apart from a purely physical one. |

| I fell like I lived School Days in my school days. I was shy and inexperienced freshman in high school and I looked like Makoto (black and short hair, white skin and blah), there was a Kotonoha too exactly the same, but without so-huge-boobs, she has more friends than bullies thought, and a Sekai with also the character's personality, but with brown and long hair and not-so-white-skin. I loved both, however there was no train, no mobile phone photo charm, no assistance, neither dating. Should be better lost a head or too, whatever it can't be helped. [I watched SD two years after this, in my last year.] In the real live I chose (and would choose in the game) Kotonoha Katsura, but now I would choose (and choose in the game) Sekai Saionji. |
