@chenfeng as a matter of fact, I did google "visual kei" when I saw this thread. I can't say I particularly care about your lil petition though. I still feel like the OP and ED were bangers this season, especially concerning the visuals. I did not leave thinking something key to the series was missing, and I've been following since I was in high school, around the BBII release.

I completely disagree. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE visual kei and think that it has served the series well so far, but the OP and ED for this season are literally perfect for the themes of this arc. You can’t tell me Cö shu Nie is not the embodiment of a witch forest where werewolves are cursing people. Not to mention how the endings are usually somber songs, and how this one works so well for what Ciel is about to go through. I love these songs🗣️🗣️

I have the same opinion as the person above. I've been in this fandom for over a decade and I haven't seen such well done ops and en in a long time. If you don't like visual kei, too bad, but knowing the manga, you'd have to be deaf or blind not to appreciate how well the themes of this arc were transferred to the music.

@SunsPrelude co shu nie isnt my biggest issue in fac i agree the quality of the production is very good relative to your typical paste and copy series, however for those who are familiar with the manga and all the animes starting from the very first season should understand that it diverges from the embodiment of the very essence of the entire franchise that 90s dark fantasy and the visual kei genre embodies as a whole and the main target demographic that spread worldwide. were talking dark , mysterious, edgy, and above all else masculine with a flair of feminine features and hints of eroticism.

you could say in a way in the same way that emo & punk core is quintessential to the subculture demographic of the American teen romance genre like twilight, the same is true for visual kei and a 90s franchise such as this and that is why they've always religiously stuck to the theme of including one hit in either opening or ending.

co shu nie although hits the emo aspects, simply doesn't deliver on the masculinity. her singing sounds exactly as she looks and preforms, a cute dying little cat. this is why her singles have always fit better for themes centered around a veeery young protagonist like virgin boy ken kaneki of the first couple Tokyo ghoul seasons or the children of the promised neverland. although the emerald witch is the focus of the season, she isnt of the anime as a whole, shes still secondary to the evolving dualistic relationship of Ciel and Sebastian, man vs child, innocence vs depravity, "good" vs "evil, etc.

quality aside this is rather expected of a flagship franchise. as for the kiddos reacting to the intentionally overtly dramatic take, its not that serious, however i guess they can get a pass as its impossible to covey the subtleties of sarcasm and caricature when least expected over text.

I'm old. I have been watching and reading Kuroshitsuji more than 10-15 years. I want SID in my Kuroshitsuji anime.

this is unironically the biggest preach i've ever heard and I can't believe anyone would even disagree, black butler and vkei are like the only bread and butter holding society up atp. open the schools.

This is no joke I'm really going to do it this time.

I don't use the forums much anymore. Whatever it is I've said above, don't bother.
