| Kumugi recalls back to how she reacted when Ichi told her about the contract he made with Desscaras. The trio is already on their way to find their new "companion". Gokuraku the cruel is his name. He's a crazy character. He was fascinated by Ichi's powers and tells Ichi to teach him magic. |

| New guy is basically a sociopath but is now fanboying over Ichi being a witch 💀 I thought he was gonna be some stone cold maniac that would give our main group a lot of trouble. I mean yea, that can still be the case but this initial subversion was an interesting choice. |

| It was clear from hiw the last chapter ended that this new character would be the companion not the Majik. There was no surprise that he would be interested in Ichi being a witch when he was trying to acquire the Majik. I don't like that you can pass the trial and not acquire the Majik, so he must be doing something wrong. He'll end up being the second male witch, which means men can be witches, which is probably the most compelling part of the story now. Why is the fact men cam be witches a secret or unknown? |

| oh so acquiring majiks isn't just about fulfilling conditions? Wonder if Ichi is just "extra special" or it's thanks to Uroro? But to be honest I wish we got arc of him going to school before entering this arc... like even 10 chapters in school would be enough. School arcs could be nice intermissions between "serious arcs". |

| secret as in it could be some knowledge that was lost over time. Not like the association is keeping it secret. I feel like it's pretty clear that we're going to come out of this arc with a second male witch. |
