An interesting fact though, is that “Wolf” in French is “loup.” Loup is the basis of the name “Lupin,”so this substitute name isn’t as random as I initially thought. Another fictional character with the name, Prof. Remus Lupin (from Harry Potter, the British pronounce it Lup-IN rather than Lup-ON), is *spoilers* a wolf. |
