Started watching anime in 2017, great decision.

Started watching somewhat seasonal/modern shows/variety, then slowly moving more towards older anime, and now primarily watching the long catalogs of niche franchises more-so than individual shows. Right now I'm most into Gundam and Lupin the Third.
My manga reading is a little more by the book (literally) in terms of what's popular.

In both anime and manga I of course have my go-to genres and series, but I try to mix that in with occasional experimentation: trying new things or giving a a new release a chance. But as you know, consuming media takes up a lot of time, so I am guilty of not straying from my preferences for long stretches.
