This show's action scenes are wild. I know Natsuko is kinda carrying it with her talent but Luke deserves a lot of credit here too.

Feels like Natsuko's confidence grew with this and Luke showing more aggressiveness in his fighting style. Good shit.

I think this episode was a nice reality check for Natsuko who clearly started drinking her own kool-aid and getting swept up in all the praise she got. One of the biggest reasons she’s in this purgatory world is likely because of her inability to ask other people for help and rely on them rather than doing everything herself.

Not a ton of Luke and Natsuko ship moments today sadly, but you can tell he’s fallen for her and gets jealous when she’s talking to Justice for example lol.

We saw in the flashback that Natsuko was extremely nasty to work with, I mean missing deadlines by days and having your assistants draw their first love before sacking them is nuts! It’s no wonder people didn’t wanna work with her. Even tho she’s become more socially adjusted, she’s still trying to fight all the voids herself. She claims it’s to protect people, but I think deep down Natsuko has some real insecurity issues and just likes the praise and attention she gets from being the hero. I wonder if they’ll ever show her growing up as a kid, it’ll probably have something to do with that.

Hell of a cliffhanger to leave off on, I hope no one ends up dying because of Natsuko’s hubris :/ I reckon justice shows up though and that’ll be how Luke finds out she can’t fly anymore. She ironically also has kinda taken on everything by herself, not telling her friends she’s injured and taking on all that resentment.. poor thing.

lol at umio getting jealous over Luke and Natsuko getting closer 😂

Although, Natsuko solves everything all by herself and everything's going nicely so far. But, she's getting way too overconfident in her abilities, and just like the director said, it's Useless. This is not gonna change. And, she learned very quickly that not every time her powers gonna work. And, she's now in the middle of the danger.

Learning to rely on others is what she's gonna learn in this story. You can't do everything by yourself. Like she said, it will work out faster this way, but that's not how it goes. Her stubbornness with the storyboards of the movie is the reason why the production is being dragged on for so long. She needs to learn to entrust her work to others which she hasn't until now.

Can't wait to see where things go from here. Justice is a nice guy. He didn't want to hurt Luke's feelings, so he's fine with him just hating him for the rest of his life. Kids definitely can be a pain in the ass, but that's what makes them kids. LOL. Natsuko is really good with kids tho. Also, Luke getting those feelings for Natsuko.

Goddamn, look at Destiny's development.

Natsuko, darling, "Some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you". The enemy makes plans, adjustments, and counter plans also. They can show courage, dedication and resolve also. Above all know you own forces, your team, its capabilities, and how it come maximize effectiveness, minimize risk, and adapt to changing battle conditions, and keep a reserve in your pocket. You going to be damn lucky this time that the reserve you did not think about is standing on the city wall watching you. And learn your goddamn lessons using your available personal resources.

I'm a little bit sad that sailor-moon theme and baseball theme animation only appear for a few seconds, they seem very interesting to me.

Justice is also quite a charming character. It's very cruel to have Romi Park voice this character so I can't decide to call Justice he or she. Dragonid body is also very good at hiding gender.

Samurai theme is the highlight of this episode, though it's not enough to defeat the enemy this time. It's the first episode that doesn't have its own conclusion.

Next week can't come soon enough. I wish I can watch new episode every day instead of every week. I can't remember the last time I enjoy watching original anime that's not based on or adapted from something. Needless to say that the best thing about watching original anime is that I don't have to worry about spoiler!

I can understand Natsuko. I don't think it's really about overconfidence, but the fact you don't trust 100% on others to do the job, so you prefer to do it yourself.

Hope I'm wrong but I can see Justice doing a sacrifice on next episode, at this point nothing is like the movie.

I don't know... the animation is quite good, but other than that it's just a generic Isekai, including a flamboyant strong person, a dragon, elves, heroes, MC has a OP power, etc.

Even the setting is lazy: "This is the last city of humankind." ... oh good, so any further world building isn't needed, ok.

Not sure why I'm even watching, but the whole Winter 25 season is rather weak.

Looks like our protag is gonna learn that she actually CAN'T just do everything herself, and that it's not about GETTING IT DONE QUICKLY. (I mean sometimes it is, but w/e)

Could be overconfidence or trust or both. I wonder if at one point everyone shoved all the work on her plate as she was trying to build her career.

I smell the "oh I was in a coma all along" ending coming from a mile away. Anyone else? LOL

At last, the loop of the episode ending the same way is broken and things actually seem to have started moving a bit.
Was that "shower in praise" a reference of AOT (Eren). Natsuko also did the death note thing towards the end of the episode

I could be wrong, but I think the setting is supposed to reflect the kind of isekai that most people look down on irl. Even in the show’s irl that Natsuko comes from, that show was considered a flop and was disliked by a lot of people with Natsuko being one of the few that liked it.

I'd argue that for a generic isekai, this is quite original (which isn't praise, it definitely does have issues). None of typical settings, no video game mechanics disguised as plot, central characters being mostly actual characters (at least not the typical bunch of non-characters), no easy self-gratification and other wankiness to appeal to insecure little boys ...

Isn't it just the stage for her self-discovery, dealing with her weaknesses and all that stuff? I mean they're not really subtle about it, are they?

It looks like Natsuko is going to get a big dose of humble pie and will hopefully realize that she isn't the only person that can get things done and that it's good to rely on others from time to time. On that note I think that Justice will come in to rescue her as he said that hubris may lead to her downfall plus he was watching the fight.

Big fan of shows having something meaningful to say.
I like that they are willing to show their auteur protagonist as incredibly toxic at work.
Lots of folk never figure this basic stuff out on how to work with subordinates or working creatively with others.
It's hard to work with people who are going to do things differently and you want things to be perfect.
Pretty soon you are micromanaging everything, and instead of getting the best of a group of talents, you're just overworking your talents to the burnout of others.

It feels like Justice is as good as dead next episode, Natsuko has to learn a life lesson about trusting others but I don't want to see any sacrifices : ( destiny is having the time of her life, she found her own way in life and managed to make true her dream, it was super cute all those kids before and after they got to the orphanage.

Luke's growing crush on Natsuko is adorable. I never thought I'd ship a character with a character in a show (in this anime's world), yet here we are.
It's about time Natsuko's powers finally failed to save the day, but the execution is really lame...like, a samurai, really? That's the best thing she could think to draw to fight against these voids? So dull and uninspiring.
A huge cliffhanger, but I hope it won't be something as cliche as Justice sacrificing himself. Or maybe just like Natsuko did with Memmeln, she'll use her powers to help Justice by fixing his wings.

Destiny became swole. Nice! Natsuko has been on a major winning streak, and that has led to quite the confidence boost as Unio and Justice have noted.

Justice is a really great guy to hit rock bottom rather than give his friend any more heartache with the truth. It's easy to see why Natsuko likes him!

This is a darker story that is now running off script. I hope they're able to keep the momentum continuing.

I can't tell if Luke's crush for Natsuko is supposed to come off as charming or cringey.

He's fed up with her cocky attitude, but as soon as he sees her face he's swooning... So he just likes how she looks, basically. Makes sense in-universe, considering he's written like an angry virgin MC, but it's not great to have that as your main love interest.

I honestly hate the cliffhanger, but what I'm expecting is for her to actually be in danger and for the Void to kidnap her. Unio and Luke will realize how much she means to them, and maybe that mule will finally stop acting like such an ass toward her (she saved his life, yet he still hates her—I just don’t get it!).

they added a montage of scenes where Natsuko absolutely trashes the voids by themselves and the team does nothing. they know they cant dobit forever otherwise it will get boring quickly.
now Natsuko creation is defeated for the first time, and the more she changes the story the more unpredictable for her it will become, time to rely on the others here and realize u cant do everything urself XD

It's nice that we got a Sailor Moon and Gurren Lagann reference. It was only a matter of time before we get an episode where Natsuko is overconfident in her abilities and her meting Justice was a sign of things to come. Even the the bird in the tree warned her that even with all her talent, its not enough to fully defeat the voids as the enemy is getting smarter than before now that the story has completely changed . We see this clearly when Natsuko made a half baked animation of a samurai that can only do slicing and dicing which is what the enemy wanted and the animation didn't last long. In the past she tried to do things on her own and it costed her life in the real world and now her overconfidence bit her in the ass again. You have to learn to rely on others in the face of adversity and now Natsuko is going to learn the hard way in the next episode after the cliffhanger.

I really liked seeing that Natsuko will have some development and that she'll start to let people help her. What bothered me in this episode was how this new character 'Justice' is interacting with her, flirting with her and making Luke sad. From what I saw in the preview of episode 6, Natsuko seems very interested in Justice, but not romantically (thankfully), however, I can see that this dynamic of jealousy is going to continue, and I hate that in any anime, unless it's something that gets resolved quickly. But overall, I liked seeing Luke more lovestruck with Natsuko and wanting to see her face, but I have no idea how they'll develop this, I still don't see how they'll make Natsuko fall in love with Luke, but I really hope to see this happen.
