Yup, time-skip as we all predicted...

So if we trust wiki, Seiichi was born in 1981. It's 2017 now, so he is... 34?! He is 34?! We can't just jump 20 years into future!! Can somebody check it if this info is correct?

Thanks.
Damn. That's... a huge time-skip. A bit of over-kill imo.

This was insane. He is a middle-aged man now. I wonder where author is trying to take this story. I hope we atleayget to see some closure on his mother.

He's 36* and hopefully we get at least 40 chapters of adult Sei.

Yep, I didn't expect this one... The author was really tough on Sei, I've never seen him mistreat a protagonist so much in all the works I've read from him. I didn't expect such a big time-skip either, of what i got to remember, none of his works were that way.

And well, his father maybe...died? Because in the last chapter (from what I could understand) he says he would take care of seichi, even if he splits up with his wife, and we saw Seichi's state in this chapter, it seems like everyone abandoned him in the end... The father could have committed suicide perhaps? Died of heartbreak?

And you can get an idea of what author is going to do with Fukishi, (perhaps showing her married and with children) to further destroy the protagonist's life, which is already completely over.

And finally, his mother ended up completely unpunished, released, free and without any responsibility at all, and this is the most revolting thing in the entire story. I don't know what Oshimi still plans for this, but honestly, if it's not for his mother to pay it somehow, I don't see the point in continuing this anymore. What do you think?

It would absolutely destroy him... I think? It's been more than 20 years.

Looks like Oshimi still has a lot to tell... so Seiichi will probably get revenge on his mother. Either that or poor guy commits suicide, I see only two possible outcomes here. It's hard to be optimistic after reading this chapter, I can't see him having family, stable job and moving on at this point.

I would say that we are probably in the middle point of the story. So, this manga is going to surpass Aku no Hana in length

Really interesting turn of events, weren't expecting a long time skip. What could have happend? Is he a free man? The murder charges were dropped? How long he were on the juvenile reform? And even if he is free, they just take his life and made him a person defined by that moment... I can't really accept that his mom just went free when she tried to kill him in first place, I jut hate her lol, but at the same time, I'm not sure what to believe, were she like that all time? or did she just gaslight so much keichii at the point that we can't even get what happened. I think I should give another read to the manga.

At this point i don't see any redemption for him. If he was 24 at least that could've been something but 34? Almost all his youth is already gone i can't see him getting married, a job which he likes etc.

And the author's definitely gonna show fukishi with her husband(probably that guy in his school) just to further torture sei

But what's the worst thing imo is that hid mom is not gonna get any punishment and even if she gets it wouldn't be enough. She's probably an old woman now and has lived her life care free and to her fullest desires while sei has suffered his whole life and has lost the years that should've been the best moments of his life. I don't know how to feel about all this.

Well it's not about hating or loving a character. It's about telling a story. Sometimes story demands some character to be tortured or killed. Sometimes bad stuff happens even to good people. That sucks, but that's how it is.

God damn this series is good asf.

Now this is just my thoughts but I think we may be in for some deep shit then kinda a light at the end of the tunnel kind of second half of the story if that makes sense to y’all. Kinda like how Flowers of evil ended by the same author.

As many people would think oh he’s 36 probably going to end badly I wouldn’t mind having the author spin it to something positive and maybe sei can grow and become better. Now I don’t know if this is just bc I feel extremely sad for sei or my love for characters who hit rock bottom but still manage to keep moving.

This would be extremely fucked up and I wanna see it so badly.

Nonetheless this story has been amazing so far and I’m really excited to see how this second part of the story plans out.

Timeskip. We jumped to the year 2017. Seiichi is 36 years old now. I wouldn't call him as young adult, though.

Same did I. Without professional help, it's a miracle that he somehow tries to fit into the society. Even if on minimal level.

That's abrupt. I know we're having a time skip, but why a huge jump? I thought he was only 17 or at least in his 20's.

Nice. I was hoping for a time skip, but 20 years later?! Shit.
Awesome, but I hope we see bits of that gap if necessary. Damn.
