Yuri is presented as an elegant character in this show but I hope they give her a better personality. She's blushing all over the place, almost all the time.

Ein definitely has potential to grow stronger if he puts work into his training. This episode felt slow though imo.

yuri sure seems refined this season but kinda bland so far lol maybe they'll make her more interesting

ein could be crazy strong with more effort the pacing this ep was kinda meh though its like they werent sure what to focus on

shes always got that red cheek thing going on which is a bit much imo its like she never stops blushing

his training could really pay off later nice hope it happens soon

the elegance is there but wheres the depth lol come on give her something more

Didn't expect the second episode to be this funny when the first episode is very dark and tragic. I'm wondering what's the true mood of this anime, comedy, tragedy, tragicomedy?

Yuri is cute, but overly emotional, can be a little annoying.. and her mom help train the mc so he can get stronger.. didn't expect that's how he got stronger because he got "the" eye, and keep using waterdrop from the tree over and over.
Anyway, let's see where we go from here.

Okay okay. This is the 2nd best fantasy trash of the season, lol. He didn't get OP right off the bat, he trained though it was all in one episode. Pacing was meh but acceptable.
Yuri is hot too but she blushes a lot which makes her annoying at times. She seems too easy. I guess that's what being secluded causes to most ladies idk. Bland character imo.
Ursula is a harsh and funny lady.
I quite enjoyed this episode.

Yuri has never received any good attention or appreciation from people, everyone has hurt her by breaking branches off, because of their greed. However, the Male MC was not like the others, he was kind, respectful, looked at and touched the tree gently with appreciation, saying "Thank you for saving me.". So I can understand why she was so affected by him after all this time alone, I get why she asked her guardian to save him, I can also understand her getting all bashful after receiving compliments. But implying that she already has "feelings" for the Male MC, now don't get wrong he is not bad looking guy, but it would have been way better for their relationship to build over the time that he stayed their training, showing them getting closer and developing more affection for one another.

Seeing that growth over time, is what is missing from anime, instead we get "Love at first sight" or "Love from barely anything happening", it is frustrating.

Given, I do think that Ursula should have given him a little teaching / instruction about the "Spirit Eye" as she called it, to give a little prep before being thrown into battle. But I do get forcing him to use the eye to save himself also causes him to try hard and do it in desperation. And using the healing water to continue the training not stop was brilliant on her part. Also, it was nice of Yuri to provide a weapon for him from her own branches.

However, the MC is beyond ridiculously stupid, I mean, do the creators want us to think he is literally the dumbest MC ever?

*appraises an single incoming strike from an S-class monster*
He stops in the middle of a fight, "How was that Ursula?", then gets his ear cut off.
He then proceeds to repeat this behavior after every single thing he does, even stops mid-fight to blankly stare and think to himself, getting injured every time.

I don't mind showing an MC work hard and then getting injured during training, things like that happen, but what this MC is doing is seriously aggravating and annoying, not funny or entertaining.

I will give him points for not giving up and pushing himself, he kept trying, for example with the running, and he seems to have developed more confidence, so that is good.

I also like how they explained and used the "Spirit Eye", that was interesting.

I hope this anime gets better in the next episodes.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

About that training. I'm glad anime have mostly moved away from the sadistic and cruel training to more lean on brutal and humour. I always wanted those "trainers" to get that pain back at them. This is tolerable I think.

My oh my, it seems Ein has gotten pretty overpowered already. I'm really quite liking the animation of this show, nothing insane but it's consistent and great looking at the same time which is all that i could ask for. I guess there isn't that much to say about a training episode, he did train and it for sure did work wonders. I really hope Ein didn't get rid of the sword Yuri gave him though, i know he's getting a katana later but atleast keep it as a memento.
Looking forward to more!

Oh my god, Yuri flapping her ears when she got excited was too damn cute!

Yuri is so beautiful and adorable in her reactions!

It was explained that she’s the spirit of the legendary tree and that the guardian Ursula will train the protagonist to make him stronger and self-reliant outside the dungeon. I liked that the training was straightforward, which is great, and Ein has started getting used to the skills.

I liked seeing him work hard to get stronger w/a trainer as opposed to sleeping and waking up OP or wandering around killing monsters. I wish they'd show how long it took. I would think time flows differently near the tree. Slower or faster, either could be interesting.

First episode was really nice, this one is ruined by Ursula imo. She's interrupting every single sentence, ruining scenes. And the fact that she willingly never explain anything create a situation where we get a lot of internal MC dialogue to tell us what's happening, which is just bad directing. The way the MC train his skill is nice tho, I wish he get more credit than just his eye being OP.
I felt like the overall quality dropped, not a good sign when it's the second episode.

I know it's just me. I didn't care much for this episode. I know it's to explain why he is now strong. Episodes where there discovering their powers or training episode to me is boring. I really hope it becomes better after this one

I usually don't mind op mc but this shit pisses me off, that's not really appraisal anymore, it's upgraded to plunder and precognition, maybe even slow time for him to read the description, that's hardly appraisal anymore, making the whole premise and title dumb af, everything's given to this useless mc, dropped, and people call this training arc bruh, everything's given, his original appraisal has nothing to do with everything that was given to him, and he's actually shocked the bear seems so weak for him wow no shit Sherlock

Episode 1 - MC shits his pants at the mere sight of dead monsters.
Episode 2 - MC is wiping out a horde of S-rank monsters with nothing but a stick.

This show is next level power fantasy trash, LMFAO.

What kind of being is Yuri's Mother? She called herself a Sage? But clearly not a human one. Right now, most interesting character, though maybe he'll run into that red-head again. Maybe she escaped after all?

Ein is such a clueless protagonist. Honestly, I don’t think I’m going to enjoy the remaining episodes—at least not when it comes to dealing with the MC’s constant stupidity.

It got pretty annoying with Ursula beating down on Ein, thinking he’s making moves on Yuri. A woman of her age should have quickly figured out that our MC is hopelessly retarded.

I guess I’ll stick around, since I don’t drop any shows, but this season has already had its fair share of dumb characters, and it’s getting tiresome.

yeah, not high hopes for this rly.MC is bland and stupid. overbearing sage gets old real fast. I like generic fantasy and isekai shows plenty but I still want them to do the generic thing well. this falls flat

I thought the little one was a boy, but never a mother. Interesting development.

Then, a spirit eye is better used for appraisal? interesting as well.

This is actually not a bad adaptation. I really like how they tell how their skills work.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

1st episode was just as a prologue .. 2nd episode is completely insufferable within 2 minutes..
i don't care anymore about how "good or bad" this joke will become.. i can't force myself to watch it..dropped. yuri is a crybaby and her mother is an insufferable hag.
the last time i watched an episode on speed 5X times five!!!! was .... a really long ago time.. playing with 5X times speed means .. it's not even worth bothering with the episode to begin with it. i'll go watch a recap .. if a recapper can reignite my interest i may watch the JOKE ... romance SHIT, comedy TURD was never my thing.

He stopped in combat with the gremlin to talk? I'm glad he lost an ear for it. I hope more characters in shows get punished for not taking combat seriously. Then they skip forward a week and he's Still doing it!? What's the point of training if you're going to just continue to do very dumb things? Particularly, when those things only need to be punished just once in real combat for it to be the end of your story.

He's clearly not afraid of getting hurt anymore if he's doing that, so why should I believe that he would be worried about the death bear rematch?

Ein has become very powerful very quickly and I wonder how this will be balanced. I never read the manga, so this is all new to me. I hope this anime stays interesting as I have grown to like it over the first two episodes.

It was funny to see Ursula reluctantly praise Ein and the next episode being called Revenge Match I am hoping Ein gets a crack at his old party members though if he does, I could see him sparing them and not thoroughly kicking their asses.

In Episode 1 he was the weakest, worst, bullied by a mage and a medicore fighter in his team.
In Episode 2 he could cast 1000 fireballs, gain superspeed and the ability to predict or slowmotion movement and copy skills.
Killed a room filled with S rank monsters.

What now, does he fight Goku in Episode 3 or what?

Yuri's really adorable. She's like one of those sheltered noble lady but super nice. Ein's training arc already over and he got strong. I mean with the ability to learn others skills ofc. That spirit eye is op. Ursula's amusing.
