Ore dake Level Up na Ken Season 2: Arise from the Shadow Episode 1 Discussion

More of the same self-insert fantasy we got in the former season. Not that I'm complaining. After all, this is why I'm watching. The scene where all the girls in Jinah's school were instantly attracted to him is a good example of the vibe of the whole show honestly. Still, nothing seems to pose a threat to our main hero as of now, and I doubt that will change soon. So far he overcame every obstacle in the series with little difficulty (just have to level some more, lol).
I don't get why people praise the animation. Sure, there was sakuga which no doubt cost some money, but apart from that I found the sequence rather bland and unimpressive. Plus the bears are yet another stock enemy having no bearing (pun intended) on the plot. Still waiting for the series to get a proper villain.
We have yet another subplot of someone misjudging jinwoo as weak and (not yet) dying as a consequence. I wonder if the guy will bow to jinwoo and beg to join his team or whatever. That would be a way to make this satisfying.
Patting the girl on the head was a pure shlock moment, he was like "I'm so cool, I will protect you, don't ask about my secrets baby ( ◡̀_◡́)ᕤ".

Nothing happened in this episode they just fought some bears of various sizes. If red gates prevent reinforcements from coming why call for reinforcements and if the bad guys already know the gate is a red gate why bother even showing up if their stated purpose was to get a look at the MC when everyone knows you can't enter it... and all they do is stand around and talk about how they can't enter the red gate which the MC already explained twice on the other side where moments before he asked for help that can't come... so much talking not much showing.

In terms of summoning the cost of summoning the mook shadows vs the mage/hero shadows seems almost nothing but resummoning the mooks drains more MP (All of it) than summoning the heros which makes no sense why bother summoning weaker shadows when you can just spam the hero unit one repeatedly for the same minimal MP cost and zero MP drain while they are summoned out. Since there is also seemingly no MP cost to having them summoned long term why not just keep them summoned always.

This show is just following the generic isekai MC is the best better than the rest ad infinum with an MC who bumbles into success constantly.

first off that A ranker should have never been leader of a training party his attitude was just wrong for it and even if he make it out I don't see the white tiger clan letting him join

second any information on the b rank mage that join jinwoo she seems to be more observant than the others of the party

third I thought the manager that learned of jinwoo reawakening was too keep his mouth shut I know he talking to his boss but he said that in front of more than him and jinwoo threatened him about talking

fourth after jinwoo ran out of mana how did igris stay around?

fifth how much time has passed from jinwoo becoming the shadow monarch to this red gate

finally why was hwang outside the country was he run out or did he leave on his own accord the leader of the white tiger and the guild association did seem too pleased he was back

The A ranker was a new recruit for the guild and was destined to join the main attack force of the White Tiger guild. They didn't know he would be an asshole. Also A ranks are worth a lot and there's a hunter shortage. Guilds have to employ them even if they are scumbags...

The B rank mage only noticed that the E rank new guy was the only one to sense the arrows heading their way. She's called Park Heejin.

There were only three people there and one of them was the manager's subordinate, who already knows about Jinwoo. The jig is already up because it's clear only Jinwoo can clear the red gate. Jinwoo only wants to stay out of the spot light for now, it doesn't matter for him if 4 or 5 people knows his secret.

Shadows soldiers only consume mana when they are healing themselves after taking damage. There's no other MP cost.

@ManoCustaff You mean bear meat in general? There's nothing wrong with that, I've had it. You just have to cook it through, and to be honest, even if you don't, the chances of actually catching trichinosis are pretty damn low.
