"And Why?"
His personality is entertaining, and the inner layers of his character are better crafted. His speech in the finale of Season 1 is the best moment of this series. And his dynamics with the rest of the cast are better.

idk if it's official or not since the anime has jp dub
toki the black haired guy
hikari the white haired guy

i personally preferred toki i am really tierd of emo white haired dudes in every anime
but you can't have one without the other you can't seprate them lol

also i actually don't know who is toki and who's hikari between them lmao i watched first 3 ep in jp dub like year ago

I love them both, lu guang and Cheng xiaoshi are enjoyable as a duo, separately not as enjoyable but they each have their strengths, so far cheng has more depth and has been developed more but I like Kuu guys in anime so lu guang is a personal preference but he has a chance for more build on his character with this Bridon arc ongoing

I never forgave Guang for just letting Xiaoshi find out about the earthquake in the moment. Using one of the worst experiences he's ever had just to teach him a lesson is MESSED up. And honestly, narratively unnecessary, given everything that happened with the game company secretary. Sure, Guang didn't know that was coming, but the writer did. That was an internal decision to show Guang's character and honestly Xiaoshi's forgiveness just came too soon.

This was better done and explained in the live action, which does a lot of things differently, but Lu Guang did what was necessary in order for Cheng XiaoShi to develop as a character.

If he didn't, Cheng XiaoShi's actions would've resulted in the deaths of others that survived. The actions that Cheng Xiao Shi takes are extremely important. Anything that triggers a flag will alter the course of history.

In the live action, Cheng Xiao Shi was given a chance to grieve along with the surviving families of the quake in the present day at a special event honoring those who passed during the quake.

In case you didn't know, this quake was a real earthquake, which happened in China in 2006 in YanJin. It's a very special episode for families that lost their relatives during this quake.

Correction: The earthquake could've been the 2008 Sichuan earthquake which was bigger in scale but I don't remember as it's been a while since I watched both the live action and Donghua.
