cliffhanger after cliffhanger on mid-episodes are still unREsolved, his evil white hair older brother and his father's killer. At this point this series is becoming a "Bungo Stray Dogs" ahh anime changed my mind

I actually don't really call that a cliff hanger. You find out Ron's dad is dead and he has an older brother and that seems to be a reasonable ending. Even then you find out that it was his older brother even before Ron did.

They share ancestry but are not directly brothers iirc, but with how things work in the Moriarty family, being a cousin or a sibling are relatively similar.

honestly, I think this anime would have benefitted from cutting out certain cases and getting to the better parts faster. I assume that maybe the manga is well loved in Japan, and fans wanted a one to one adaptation, but some things don't translate as well nor as easily in animation.

Honestly I would have liked if they just keep solving cases instead of having an antagonist which im not invested on plus if u look after the ending of S1 and S2, it's not much of a big difference in terms of plot

Season 1 had me hooked with all the detective work, but that House of M addition literally killed it for me. I’m definitely not gonna continue watching. Sucks how mid the story got just like that smh

This season didn't exactly end with a cliffhanger as it was more of a preview of things to come. Everything with the case was resolved, all while Ron declared war on the House of M. Several of the missing pieces were revealed, so it was a proper way to end things.

I don’t see what’s wrong with ending a season off with a cliffhanger? I mean doesn’t that make you anticipated for the next season more?

I like this season way better because it was more serious with an actual plot compared to s1 which was lighter. I loved the last case. Ending with a cliffhanger is normal for almost every good series... it keeps viewers hooked to keep watching. I actually feel like the end of the season wasn't a cliffhanger at all compared, I'm glad we got some answers about Ron's dad and that wasn't left a mystery until the next season

I don't mind the over-arching story, but I'm definitely happier with the episodes that are more "case of the week" rather than serving the grander scheme.
