| I mentioned this before, poor adaptation. I sensed something is wrong since episode 4. Light novel is a mixture of Harry Potter, Made In Abyss and Berserk but the anime is a happy Harry Potter. Completely different tone, not sure how they can promote a light novel with a different tone. Great light novel adaptations such as 86 or Assassin Isekai are extremely rare nowadays. And Mushoku Tensei is a bad adaptation by the way. |

| I didn’t read the written material, but I could tell that it was bit adapted right, things felt rushed and squished together strangely, they were all over the place. It started off well, but then got dragged into a bunch of side issues that didn’t progress the story. I would say, make a completely new anime with 24 episodes this time and focus on the more important to topics in the material. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
| Too rushed, too many weird things like with Pete, the succubus girl honestly made no sense and the reason they didn't kill her after she killed tons of people was because she looked like a child when she cried, seriously? The anime got good with the monster invading the school, Olivers hidden past on the teachers didn't get explained enough and we only saw one clip of revenge, don't even know what his organization is about or what other hidden magic he knows. Basically, the season was too rushed when they had everything going for them right. The harry potter feel made it just as interesting but they went about finishing the season wrong and it ended up making no sense. Literally the only thing I'm interested in is Oliver's revenge, everything else I could care less about if it gets a second season. |
| only the first volume (episode 1-6) was adapted relatively faithfully. Then it started to nosedive and the dive never stopped. So weird considering how much efforts they put on some scenes from volume 1 like the Garuda incident just to start completely sabotaging their own boat half way. |
