| @Piromysl as far as I know it was Naoko Yamada (one of anime directors) who added most of the yuribaiting, author herself was not doing it, at least intially (Kumiko even dated her childhood friend for some time in the books, even if they broke up later). |

| @Nachtwandler_21 Naoko Yamada has a very specific style for depicting female friendship, to say the least. Although she directly denied that she had any intention of baiting anything. But yeah, LN is many times more straight, to the point where half of Reina's scenes in the anime are Shuichi's. @Mari_Marx It doesn't look like yuri at all, unless you consider a story about a meaningful friendship between two girls to be yuri by default. |
