| We got a little flashback of how Syd saved Elio in the past. Then she found out he was looking for only male assistant. So she disguised herself as Elio. Back to the present, Elio was caught by the thugs but Syd came in to save her again. She's trying hard to suppress her feelings by saying it's not romantic lol. And looks her real name is Levie. Good chapter. Syd continues to be funny. Cute color page too. |
| THAT WAS AWESOME! Good grief, that's at least THRICE this series has duped me and subverted my expectations. Syd's palm smack was funny as hell, and I can't believe our boy Elio ain't a "boy" at all and how down bad she is for Syd left me in stitches! Took me back to Food Wars and To-Love Ru, I'm not sure if I want them together in the end, or if I'd prefer that they just kept this up for the long haul! |

| I rather like the twist of Elio being the romance novel author. This should lead to some pretty interesting gag setups in the future. I kind of feel that Syd thinking Luce was a woman only for it to be a man was a missed opportunity at a humorous resolution to this situation. But them being friends and bonding over Elio's stories was cool overall. |

| This chapter once again proves my point of this manga not focusing too deep on mystery. Elio's secret of being the author of the romance novel Syd reads was made obvious in first chapter in purpose. Anyway so essentially the novel Syd reads is about him as Elio writes it of based off her feelings for him. Good to know more about her. She was saved by him, fell for him hard and disguised as male cause he was looking for male assistant. Fun chapter again. Cute color page with that back angle, it's Taishi alright. |

Ok so Syd saved Elio in the past and doesn't recognize her I guess. Also Elio ending up being the romance book author was unexpected lol. So the great detective can't even see through an anagram?
| @Rexnihilo @Karol_At I'm still not fan of this series but it was explained that Syd can't take blood well and she was covered by blood (for some reason), so he definitely wasn't focusing on her face while solving that mystery. @logic340 Yeah, them bonding over book in the end and not ending with "Why aren't you a cute girl!! 😭" was lowkey wholesome. |
