Also, during that whole Mai beach scene, I couldn't help but think of the scenes from Rascal Does Not Dream where Sakuta was yelling "Mai-san, I love you!", and just w/ Mai walking on the beach (just like the other Mai did in the ED).
@Cosplay_Joe Lol, was thinking the exact same thing during both scenes. Not to mention there is the fact Renji uses "Mai-san" too, when referring to her.

Too bad Marika didn't wake up until they were at her home, hopefully Chika shows up or Mai has a convincing excuse for the cop. On that note it looks like Takae has left the body of Marika probably because Mai will be fine on her own although Keisuke will probably feel lonely for a while. However, he does have that coworker that's interested in him, maybe over time if Takae doesn't come back he may develop feelings towards her.

There're things to be learnt from Marika's situation...and then there's the chance that Keisuke has to face next: his daughter's potential partner through Aikawa.

Welp, Mai's secret is out, and Keisuke not hearing anything about this certainly has to put a facade in front of Aikawa. And since they're dating, Keisuke will soon be alone, and that's where Moriya comes in...undecidingly on the fate of his own daughter's relationship. At the very least, it improves the mother-daughter relationship with Marika and Chika, and for the family "date" (so to speak) fishing with Aikawa and his buddy Koeda, and there Keisuke is being worried about Mai every step of the way.

Takae (in Marika's body) is quite supporting of her own daughter in a relationship and being married to Aikawa, which she'll leave Keisuke alone if she does. But to hear yet another tragic story where Aikawa lost his partner out at sea, it's quite the karma meeting of meetings that the real reason is brought to the attention of both parents in consideration for their daughter. But a replacement for his dead partner of Kasumi, Mai is not, and Aikawa is prepared to take her hand all the way and move on from his own tragedy.

A sweet ending for Mai...but Takae suddenly losing her memories and reverting back to who she truly is, it's pure suddenness.

Keisuke seeing his daughter's boyfriend moving on with his life after losing his loved one definitely made him reflect on his own situation. Even though his wife has returned, there’s no guarantee she’ll stay with him forever. Deep down, he probably knows that, but he just doesn’t want to confront it yet. What is he going to do now when that happens?

The coworker is starting to realize she had feelings for Keisuke

Crazy that the mom decided to let her go out with her family! I do appreciate that she’s making an effort to change. I mean she’s already made a lot of improvements in a short amount of time. They’re dating, but Renji calls her Mai-San, instead of Mai-kun? Renji seems like a really nice guy!

Thats a serious confession. Have they been dating for that long

Has for Takae, I wonder if her being tired all the time caused her to have memory loss? Of course a cop shows up at the worst possible time 😭💀

Rather lucky timing Marika coming back. If this happened before Chika learned the truth things would've become ugly, lol.

Mai got a good boyfriend in Renji. Seems Marika regains her own conscious after falling asleep. This creates a problem for the Niijimas.
