I am officially sticking with this anime. the art is really nice and it has a good supernatural feel that you don't find too often. it's a bit slow paced but I liek it. also the J-Jazz OP is broekn ;P!

Episode 2: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming

the new therapist is sort of creepy don't you think ? I'm not sure but it seems liek he has something more going on... also he looks liek a pedophile xD! the Nosy transfer student annoys me, I hope the delinquent kicks his ass >=]! speaking of Makoto, it seems that his father committed suicide shortly after the kidnapping. I guess I don't see the implied relevance here yet.

Well I thought the first episode was great, but this episode is inarguably better all round. I really like the way the characterisation is handled in this series, we're gradually becoming more familiar with the main characters yet it never goes out of its way to blatantly develop them.

Once again, the inventive and engaging soundscape of noise and static clashing with silence is eerie and perturbing. But this time. it was complimented by some very nice visual work.

This episode marked a slight shift from ambient horror to supernatural mystery, and now that the plot has been laid out on the table for all to see, the show has become much easier to get hooked on. I'm expecting great things from I.G on this one.

I thought it was interesting that, yet again, we have been unable to see Tarou's sister's eyes. In the first episode, they were overshadowed by the light of some candles when we got a shot of her picture. In Tarou's dreams, she either has her eyes closed, or they're obfuscated by visual noise.

Loved it!

I liked it.
The part were he goes into the woods was pretty freaky with the tranformation of what appeared to be his dead sister. I hope the series carries on in that sort of way.

HOT. But oh my God, he's so annoying. I just want to sew his mouth shut so he can't say annoying stuff anymore. Haha.

I dunno, I quite like him. Perhaps because it's refreshing to have at least one character witha bit of spunk and personality. I have a feeling he's a character I'm going to love getting annoyed by, if that makes any sense..

About the guy the last two post were about: strangely I get the feeling that he might end up dying or something lol. Have no idea why.

Really loving this series. Barely notice time passing when I'm watching it. I find it very engaging and enjoyable compared most of the other animes I'm watching right.

Same... At the end of the episode he was scared of something... but I can't remember, and I can't be bothered to go back and check.

It seemed like he was afraid of heights, or something to do with the water...I dunno for sure, but I agree there's more going on there than simple instigation.

And next episode finds the lot of them visiting the hospital together, pretty curious to see how that all comes about.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I love him, but man. I want to see him get what he deserves just once :P
And yeah, I'm extremely excited to see the three together. Really curious to see what they'll find.

And I forgot to say that I'm really glad they included a sort of exposition of the guy's research - I assume there's more to it than what he's discovered and he's got some things wrong, etc, but it's nice to not have to be "ok, wtf happened?!" for the next 20 episodes.

At least the annoying stuff he said revealed some things. I liked this episode. The second half was very nice. The third episode is going to be awesome.

Really great episode. Everyone's already mentioned things I found interesting (like Tarou's sister's eyes, the annoying kid's fear of something, and the whole forest scene) and I can't wait until the next episode gets subbed.

I'm seriously more interested in knowing just who the hell he is. I mean, what kinda "kid" gets so interested in kidnapping cases and etc. Does he have some connection with the events or what?

Anyway I'm liking the show a lot. Can't wait to see more of it

Transfer student's exposition was a nice touch though I'd inferred most of what he had to say after watching the first episode. I had mistakingly inferred that Makoto's dad was actually the kidnapper but now I see it's more complicated than that. Somehow the rumor started that Makoto's dad may've had a link to the kidnapping because it was Makoto's grandmother who had informed the police the kids were kept at the hospital and shortly after his father committed suicide in such a gruesome matter. That brief scene with the sunny side up being cut while the details of Makoto's father's death were being described was just brilliant. It was just nice and subtle and managed to be much creepier than if they'd shown him stabbing out his own eye. I love the direction in this show.

That didn't occur to me until after you mentioned it, but I agree. I wonder if we'll ever get to see her whole face?

Wonderful first two episodes here and I am stressing out because the third one isnt here yet ><

My interest is in Tarou's mother, she seems to freak out whenever something about the kidnapping or Tarou's sister are mentioned.

I wonder how this show will end up :o

This guy = Itsuki vibes. I love him. lol

This anime seems complex and simple at the very same time, and I love it. It just leaves you wondering about what's coming next, and it totally captured me. Can't wait for more.

I agree, hot but a bit annoying. ^^ I'm really interested in him too. It's kind of weird, because I'm usually drawn by moody/brooding guys, but I think it's because there's also a mystery to him, it's just not that apparent. Why is he so curious about Tarou's and Makoto's past?

Eyes seem to be a visual motif in this series. There's the psychiatrist's creepy eyes, and Tarou's obfuscated ones.

Definitely keeping up with this show. The sound effects are incredible, and I loved the subtle shift between 'reality'/awake state and the dream/OBE one (forest scene) . ^^

Still really liking this series, the part explaining the whole kidnapping was a slight bit boring since, like someone else said, most of it had already been inferred. I'm much more interested in whats going on with the woods behind the shrine, that was some pretty messed up stuff in there. Also, stop quoting that picture i don't need to see that guys face THAT many times T_T.

watched a couple episodes of this back when i first started watching anime (nearly 2 years ago) put it on hold for whatever reason and forgot all about it... picked it back up again, very creepy atmosphere to say the least, i remember it being slow paced and quite a lot of dialogue and info but wanting to plow through it this time and see what this anime brings later on

1. 3DCGI is killing me. Seriously... It looks so bad :|
2. Audio mixing is horrible. There are moments where it is tooooooo quiet, but sometimes is extremely loud. Ok if ssomeone is watching it on laptop speakers, than that person will not notice it for sure, but I'm watching it on good home cinema soundsystem and it is horrible.

3. Plot is good and it seems to be even more good, so, I will watch it ^^

That counselor is still a creepy man.

So Taro was meeting his after her school and both were kidnapped by someone. THe kidnapper died in an accident, thus leaving the 2 to die in an abandoned hospital. His sis Mizuka died and he has PTSD and recurring dreams about the incident. But meeting that weird girl from his dreams and that strange encounter in woods start putting some weird parts in the story.

The part about hypnotism actually creating false memories is a big part since now whenever he dreams of the creepy giant, Makoto's dad's face is there when previously it wasn't. Add to the fact that after Komori kids were found, the dad committed suicide and thus was linked as a possibility to the case but no concrete evidence states he did it.

Nakajima is still a douche but like I said, he's going to help propel the plot if the next ep preview is to be believed.

The Op is a weirdly fun little jazzy tune but that ED was just wonderful. I'm so glad I got this DVD series.

4/5. Answers but more questions. Things are about to get interesting.

The eye movement desensitation is actually a thing. I'm impressed they included this into this anime. I got ptsd and my psychiatrist told me we'll try this in the future and that it's useful. +1 for good research

Otherwise, okay episode. Interesting and boring at the same time, somehow.

The first episode was definitely a "prologue", this one already had me somewhat hooked. Loved how Masayuki explained, more or less, everything that happened and it does sound very interesting. Seems like all of them experienced some trauma long ago, even Masayuki.

That story about moving your eyeballs to get your brain going is so intriguing. It's surreal how complex the human brain is.
