Why would you care about other people’s opinions? Personally, I’m a big fan of the season by Wit Studio, but Season 4 wasn’t bad at all. Of course, you should watch it if you’re an AoT fan and curious about how the story continues.

Generally if you are already in this deep, I dont see why you would drop it just because of what some people online say. Its always best to view it yourself and make your own judgement. I could tell you what the community discourse was back then and why some would feel the way they do, but that should really not concern you nor is it necessary as it can just cloud your own judgement and view of a work.

Man, I see that a lot of people criticize the 4th season of SNK saying that it has gone downhill or something like that, and on some points I even agree. And this "I wish it had ended in the 3rd season" doesn't make any sense, it leaves several loose ends and a lack of depth in relation to some themes in the work.

However, in a general context, this first part of the fourth in particular, even with some problems, brings a lot of depth to the themes that Isayama has been sowing since the first seasons.

The second part of the fourth is more complicated, it has some holes, events without much substance, but I still don't think it's completely bad. Since the 4th season of SNK, the community has brought up several controversial discussions about the latest seasons of SNK, only pointing out their flaws and leaving aside their qualities, which I think is very unfair. And as you know, after the end we only see people speaking badly, but even at the end I can find qualities, even if minimal.

Since you are engaged with the story, watch and enjoy, even if it has flaws, what matters is your personal experience.

Tbh, I hate the ending, but you should probably still watch just to see for yourself. It won’t take away as much from what you’ve already seen even if you dislike it.

@ghier I agree Ymir's plot wasn't great but I think Eren was handled fine because honestly Eren has always been that pathetic whiny type he just kinda pushed that part of him away back during late season three and onwards.

If you liked s3, then see it through to the end. It’s well worth it imo, I thought the ending was fitting. I know many people that hated everything after s2 part one because the dynamic started to shift from humans v monsters to paradis v the humans on the outside. If you didn’t mind the shift then you’ll probably like s4, as it’s the logical next step down the path s2 and s3 started us down.
