| Well, Mao's clearly the brother "in-law" homewrecker in the relationship between him and Murai, and their close relationship as siblings is easily telling, aside from the fact that the sister has a new love interest. But the prep for the battle from the Summer festival, Yayoi sure is a gorilla herself indusing some hard workouts to Murai. But Murai having his slacking moments in class, Hirai and Kiriyama being bros to shield their bro that he's been working out to face Mao, what a bro. Welp, Yayoi having to witness Muri and Tanaka doing an air hug, it's no different than doing an actual hug on top of the jealousy that the childhood friend already has, and that's adding the friend-zone friendship between both Murai and Yayoi. Too bad for Hirai, he has to deal with Yayoi's aftermath...and also to just kiss her out of randomness solely because he likes her. Tanaka going out of her way just to create a fighting tournament in the midst of the cultural festival, Murai's just ready to conquer her ring finger...get ready for the unhinge coming. |

| 5/5, I think I've been a little harsh on this anime, as I imagine myself in Tanaka-sensei's place and would absolutely hate to be in this situation of 17 year old who I have authority over trying 300% to have me marry him. I've definitely seen worse themes, but since I can't connect since couldn't see myself being in female characters position have had... less issue. I still desire for her to keep holding strong, which she is, which I love <3 She is honestly being a really good teacher and support pretty much everything she's done. Stay strong! Hirai, Shinri... while I question his actions a little, overall he's awesome and saved our favorite Gorilla. It's unfortunate that Murai will keep hunting his teacher, while she's his teacher, but I still very much ship those two. I have this sitting at a 5/10, if this keeps up, it might even get a 9/10 from me. Stay strong sensei!!! Edit, forgot to comment on the cheeks thing. I wonder if the japanese was as insane as the subtitles, because english subtitles implies something far more crotch region, either way it's funny, but being literal cheeks is more funny while other one is more gross but still funny as he's clearly intending the facing cheeks to be eaten LOL |

| Daaaamn Hirai really went and shot his shot with Yayoi, and by that I mean he went for the kiss right after she had her heart broken lol, I gotta respect the play tho, and it looks like it actually worked some on her, not sure if this means they’re a couple yet, but if not, I think it’s only a matter of time. Also, smooth of Hirai to go for the kiss after Yayoi finished wiping her nose, but ngl I’d go in there anyway lol, you gotta be ready for anything brother. And speaking of brothers, yeah that Mao guy ended up being Tanaka’s brother’s like I thought, but his encounter with Murai was hilarious, and now they’ve got a planned fight in a tournament being held at the school, yeah that’s gonna be wild lol. Also, lots of talk about “eating cheeks” this episode lol, like someone else mentioned, I’m not sure if it sounds as crazy in Japanese as it does in English, but the fact they talked about it so casually made it funnier even with context. Hopefully one day Murai will be eating those cheeks, same goes for Hirai. |
| I really thought I would get sick of the storybook style but the acting is incredible and comedy is spot on imo I just keep liking it more. I don't even know if full animation would be better because of the humor. My man Hirai really went for it when Yayoi literally just had her heart broken lol. Hope things go well for them. Not sure about the "eating cheeks" thing how common the double meaning is in Japan but it seems from some quick research that they do use the word for both like English does. |
