It was probably 2/3rds of the way through Ep. 1 that I realised that only dubtitles have been provided, they're just timed to the Japanese audio track. Really infuriating! Hopefully a proper fansub group will show some interest in this show and do it some justice.

It could have been so much better of an experience if the subs were right man, did not like them having f bombs everywhere for no reason, when I know exactly what they are saying and that it doesn't match the subs at all

The script for this anime was written in English. I guess the reason the subtitles match the sub is because it’s the original lines of dialogue.
I also suggest giving the dub of this anime a try. Since the lines are written for English, the dub is actually phenomenal and not at all cringey like the average dub.

Yeah the subs are unwatchable but luckily the dub is great and the screenplay was written in english so it wasn't too much of a loss.

LMAO no, it's the usual trash. As soon as I heard child Reika sound like an adult woman I immediately switched back to Japanese.
