I didn't expect the budget, considering the anime produced by Unlimited Produce (TMS) have normal/OK animation, cmiiw tho. Especially when it's a romance anime. The animation (especially the OP), the 3D POV, the hybrid between 2D characters and 3D backgrounds are all such an eye-candy. The lightning/graphics too. They cooked hard.

And I'm surprised Netflix streamed 3 bangers (DDD, Ranma) including this, they usually only stream 1 or none.

Which part of the animation besides the Opening Credit is the best/eye-candy for you? (to me it's the 3D POV when he runs to school after hearing his crush gonna move out)

The lighting and coloring sticks out the most to me let’s also not forget the music and utterly amazing cinematography

Netflix is cooking with anime lately unlike Disney and Hulu with their bad marketing for anime. I never forgive them for Undead Unlock.

I wish the backgrounds didn’t look AS obviously 3D, but I will say the actual direction and use of the camera is better than like 90 percent of romance anime rn lol

The cinematography is outstanding! And I really liked that scene after the OP, the one of the whole gym. THAT was awesome!

The animation was fantastic, and the use of CGI backgrounds was also great. The only part I didn’t like was the “drone shot” scene of the gym where literally everything was CGI, including the students. The actual cgi wasn’t too bad, but it looked a bit uncanny and the scene looked blurry for some reason. But it’s just that one scene, the rest was beautiful, the art too!

Komi-san’s animation declined? It seemed consistent to me. I mean, I didn’t know anything about animation when I watched it but still.

No one talking about the 2D movements of the characters while in the court. I'm almost sure that this will have better sports animation compared to Blue Lock s2

The animation was super good but I think they were going a bit over bored with the lighting it was remind me of hand shakers.
