| Even as a manga resder, the adaptation was worth watching cos of how well they executed it. Can’t really fault anything it was pretty much perfect, wish they make a second season but I doubt it |
| The production line at Production I.G. responsible for the anime led by Rui Kuroki is making the new Kinnikuman anime, which I assume will be a longterm project. So probably not soon. |
| damn I really wanted a S2 as well, hopefully we still get it one day and the announcement will come eventually. "overshadowed by blue lock" is BS, if anything those two series boosted the hell out of each other and there's a huge fandom crossover. It was rewatching Blue Lock that led me to wondering what was happening with this series and check out the threads here, and I think I only even initially gave Blue Lock a shot because I'd really enjoyed Ao Ashi. If I remember correctly they both collabed with Japanese Soccer institutions too, including the national team. Maybe they're waiting to time it alongside a big competition like the next world cup or something? Idunno. |

| It's such a shame that we're probably not going to get a second season for an actual good football anime. I blame the braindead action junky infants who suck up to blue lock for being more 'hype' when its the antithesis for everything football is about. If only blue lock didn't exist Ao Ashi wouldn't have been overshadowed and we'd have had season 2 by now. |

| @SA_fin not true at all, in fact without the 2 series boosting each other, Ao Ashi would've likely been even less popular and therefore even less likely to ever get a s2. I really wish people would stop continually repeating this kind of thing because they then become an accepted view point because it's been repeated over and over again. |
