Pretty simple finale. Nothing groundbreaking as this one had some hunting segments.

Clay's cooking improved so that's nice to see. Seems they aimed for a rather somewhat safe finale. Magic was demonstrated too although I wish they did more dungeon building.

Clay being proud of her self-made meals, with or without salt that has Rangard puzzled of how she come this far...and since food is on the topic, how about understanding monster food a lot more?

A field and hunting ground that resembles much of the Earth's terrain (but still underground) being artificially created, Clay observes how monsters hunt and like their food. She can be a real surprise, like going mice-hunting with Binky, though the golems are always utilized because other monsters the forms of craftsmen are quite picky to the point that they nitpick about it, and this type of micromanagement is not easy. Other than Reilmond having his own bath and a cerberus taking thereafter, it's Teruru cooking up medicine...that looked just as awful.

Belle having to call Clay to swap her body out due to low energy, and that is done by swapping out the big crystals and bringing it to the dungeon core, which it's just a non-magical imbued entity. With the empty crystal, Belle tries cutting it down to size to reuse much of it, but while it shatters from its big surface area, it's spending the day with the dungeon master who's gone through lots of hoops inheriting the dungeon, and Clay coming to help her not just as an assistant, but as life-long friends.

It's a decent lil' show that is worth a relaxation's ride.

Nice finale, but a not a single word about her father? Kinda disappointing. That plot was literally just dropped.

Anyway, a pretty entertaining show. Clay and Belle are such a cute duo. :3

Agreed, this was a hidden gem for sure. I enjoyed a lot this different view of inner workings of a dungeon.

Very good show.

Belle and Clay duo rocked!

One of my favourite shows this season fs
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

My hidden gem and underrated show of the season, this final episode was beautiful with the two of them watching the sunset, there are so many questions unanswered, I'm going to miss those two.

With this show, Kono Sekai wa Fukanzen Sugiru and the current Tensura arc I'm going to miss comfy management Fridays.

Not quite a Side Character Shuffle finale, but...

Dungeon People is an anime with a whole lot of nothing going on. The ratio is about 10% action, to 40% slice of life antics, to 50% lore dumping. We're given the overarching mystery of what happened to Clay's dad, which is then for the most part shoved to the back burner in favor of Belle's various tasks and Cute Golems Doing Cute Things. The moments of actual exploration are sparse, and despite the Comedy tag, there are no jokes, so the question you have to ask yourself is, "How much do the inner workings of this dungeon and the day to day lives of Clay and Belle interest me?"

What I enjoyed about this series is that the art style is very charming, and there are a few interesting stories covered here. Most notably, Belle's battle against the king's champions, in my opinion. Also, Clay and Rangard did somewhat grow on me as characters.

Not my sort of thing, but I can see how someone would appreciate it. 6/10.

Great,10 out of 10, Belle and Clay, are worthy of each other and complement each other perfectly.

@ropiel The grading system in which everyone who has not even normally watched the series can put a grade almost from the first episode will never work properly, although there is no perfect solution.

I'm a little sad that Belle and Clay didn't hold hands at the end there, just a little.

This might just be my anime of the season. It's between this and Mayonaka Punch, MayoPun was technically superior in most aspects however I think I just liked this shows vibes more.

Was nice that they ended this on a normal note, the usual finding out more in what happens within the dungeon and seems that Clay's objective since the start has altered quite a bit, mainly joining to find out the whereabouts of her father but has now enjoyed working behind the scenes of the dungeon and will continue doing so.

Interesting that there was nothing in the final episode regarding questioning about her father so I'm hoping this series continues because I have thoroughly enjoyed this one, a good balance between fun lighthearted everyday activities and the occasional battling.

Hidden gem this season amongst many shows that failed to deliver at more ambitious plots. I respect anime that keep it simple and know what their strengths are, and I think Dungeon People was such an anime.

This episode was a pretty decent finale. The golem management part was pretty interesting, especially the sea turtle segments, but its quite sad when you think about the same principle being applied in certain real life scenarios where mediocracy is prioritized over passion/talent just so the gears can work smoother. Is what it is... Also, I do NOT blame Clay for wanting some of that grass, it looked pretty fresh ngl. And we also got to know why this dungeon is special. They attempted to make an artificial dungeon core, but when that process failed they had to construct everything manually. The lore is great in this story as always.

But the best part of this show was by far the characters. I got really attached to trio of Belle, Clay, and Rangard. They're such a cozy family. At a certain point, I just started calling them the Dungeon Homies cuz that's really how it is. The show did not fail to either have me laughing with these character interactions or intrigued by the new concepts they reveal. The humans relationship with the monsters were also done really well. This was quite a memorable show, even if the main plot progression is slow. The inclusion of the adventurer's strongest party (Ice Fang Wolfs?) helped to make up for that as we had a group of people that we could cheer for their growth. All in all, this was a top 2/3 show this season. Solid 8/10👏. I will miss the dungeon homies😭. S2 please 🙏

Cute ending but let's be real the golems carried the whole show. Kinda sucks we don't see her Dad or solve that mystery. Aside from that it was a fun watch.

For a finale, it felt more like just another episode and didn’t answer anything about Clay’s father or Belle’s master, leaving even more questions behind. I do like how the relationship between Belle and Clay is progressing. I'm not sure if it will end up as yuri, but it always gave off that vibe. Regardless, it was an entertaining anime with a mix of a relaxing atmosphere and bloody moments at other times. I hope they make another season!

The show was more than a little pointless even for a slice of life, but the weird atmosphere of the whole thing struck a chord with me. I would have liked to go a little deeper into the poked at question of why even have a dungeon, though.

Cute and relaxed ending, and it was sweet seeing Belle & Clay's friendship develop. It was cool seeing the massive field and forest area in the dungeon (which would have made for cool looking dungeon floors, but funny they at least addressed that with Belle saying it's wouldn't be "dungeon-like" enough 😆).

Would be cool if there is a second series, as it didn't fully explore Clay's father or Belle's sort-of-father.

Very cute and sweet show though overall, and enjoyed it, and was nice to watch with my partner.

I have a soft spot for light hearted shows that have "cute" aspects to them; while I don't know if that is how I would describe the whole show, there were elements here and there that do fit the category. I admit it isn't a masterpiece, but this was a nice show to pick up and I'm glad I did; even if a season 2 is pretty doubtful at the moment

The hunting stuff was pretty interesting to learn about, and that gem scene- won't lie the whole "Clay thought it was this" followed by Belle explaining "Oh, its nothing like that" had a pretty funny punchline, lol

Ended on a nice, light note consistent with the series, but kinda frustrated the series didn't have true closure since the whole Clay's Dad thing was not resolved.

I'm doubtful there will be a season 2, but I do hope there will be: this was a good series.

And with this, I've almost wrapped up all of my Summer 2024 shows. Looking forward to the fall season

If we ever get a sequel, I'd want to watch it again.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Definitely gonna miss this show! Nothing too groundbreaking, but somehow i still found this show to be one of my favorites of the season.

The thing that made this show stand out are clay & belle. They were a quirky, but fun and funny duo, and im gonna miss the interactions they had.

8/10, a fun and enjoyable show

Overall it was a cute behind the scene working environment of the dungeon.

@Ghoul6262

Looks like the answer is no. The most recent translated volume of the manga is vol 4. And in Japan vol 5 was released back in June (2024). According to the release schedule it looks like the author is only putting out one volume per year…so anyone hoping for a resolution to the ‘father plotline’ may be waiting for a long time.

@Ghoul6262 @Foxlore
Well there should be enough material reasonably soon. Anime adapted 3 volumes up to chapter 23 (publisher website https://comic-action.com/episode/3270375685431369576) and today chapter 40 was released. So by the end of the year they should have enough for volume 6 and season 2. How long it takes to produce is of course another matter.

A nice sendoff

To a nice dungeon master

And all of her things. In her dungeon.

Looking forward to a second season. And, continuation if there is one to be had.
I'll for sure watch it as well. If there isn't one to follow up the initial cour, then this was a solid epilogue to cut off the series.
