In the ending, the only girl in red left, leaving the planet with memories of other machine lifeforms. However, in the end, we also heard a voice from the destroyed tower giving pods the order to destroy the data. I do not think it was pre-recorded because it also reacted to the change in our MVP pod 042 and the other pod. Was this the pods were talking about having the same conclusion as now because the AI or the girl in red are still here and 2B and 9S may continue to face difficulties and again end up dead.

I have such an empty feeling in my heart right now. I wanted to see more moments of 2B and 9S together after being reincarnated. I hope they animate replicant as well and maybe drakenguard as well.

i do not think so the 2 red girls are just data personification of the machine lifeform network or internet anyway and we saw how they fight each other and the evil one was killed by the good one

the pods are just following the whole plan of the yorha project which was hacked in the past by the 2 red girls when they are still allies

just remember that the voice you're referring to was always part of the system, is not like it is the lifeforms voice or anything and, to respond to the first question, most of the major enemies you see in the game/anime (Adam, Eve, the girls in red) are the personafication of the conscience of these lifeforms that's why they shapeshift depending on the situation, in the end, they concluded that they've learned enough on Earth and, instead of using the tower as a weapon to destroy the remaining of the humanity's data, they use it as a laucher to get out of the planet and continue their journey

now, for the anime adaptations of Replicant and Drakengard, I highly doubt something like might happen, sadly those games were not as popular as Automata, however, showing Accord at the end of the whole thing makes me think that it probably is a teaser of a remake/remaster of the Drakengard games and not an anime adaptation

you see, Square Enix is a little weird with the info they share, they leave secret messages here and there at times but you can't never be sure on what the meaning of it all is, it may mean something related to more games/adaptations or, it can also means they're connecting the whole Nier-Drakengard world at a different level since Nier is more like a spin-off of Drakengard but... who knows?

But if there's no clear enemy now then what were Pods afraid of. I mean they were saying that this can also end like previous time, meaning 2B 9S can die again which is only possible if still there's an boss enemy on earth or maybe Virus?

As you said and I know, they both are basically AI if we say precisely, so How they can die? The one girl killed the other in dispute of leaving the planet or not but if they are data and personification then how can they die?

I know the reason why replicant wasn't popular enough because it was repetitive and boring at some points. I have played both games and they both need to be played multiple times to get all endings but replicant was very boring and repetitive.

nier reincarnation was a mobile game which is already out and I don't think so many people played it. The nier series may receive a sequel but it can be a stand alone game as we still don't know if they are making it or not

how do computer virus die? or how do you kill computer data? same thing unless the good red girl choose to have a backup of the evil red girl

also the machine network is about evolution aka survival of the fittest like kill or be killed anyway but the good red girl evolve enough to also go with spreading their genes or in this case data on other planets

Then what were pods afraid of? the remaining machine life form? This all is very confusing. Now there is no enemy then A2, 2B and 9S should live without any worries right?

all nier lore is canon, and yoko taro already acknowledged reincarnation. it's literally what connects the calamity that destroys the timeline (plot point the hexadecimal codes talked about). it's safe to assume the next game will talk about the accord's "journey" to find out why the timeline breaks, as yoko taro said it's the focus of the drakenier series

I think you didn't focus on their words. They said that "after reincarnation the conclusion can be still the same but possibility of new future also exists' (Not their exact words). Meaning, they were saying 2B and 9S can end up facing more difficulties or they can have a different future

@Otaku_guru exactly its uncertain and pod 42 said "the future is not given to you, its something you earn"
